At the game tonight, thought Roberton was very good... Considering after the Sydney game I didn't think he was up to it, I'm more than happy to eat my words... For now

Roberton was impressive again. He looks a very good pick up.

Newnes ran very well, but his disposal was terrible at times. Add others have said, getting games into him will help in the long run.

With Gwilt and Dempster now both out, Roberton has been a prudent pick up....and he is only 21!

i like how nimble roberton is.... he passed well on friday too....

think he is less a defender than a tall defensive mid....

i liked some of his work at the forard 50 line kicking it in to set up a goal...

'good grab saints!

In plenty of darkness roberton is a real bright spark.
I see him as the result of Lyons guilty conscience.
We did well here. Got him for nothing. Huge upgrade on winmar and raph.
Could play 200 games for us.

Yes, I like the look of the way that he plays too. An unknown to most supporters, he has been a good pick (another Fisher??)from Freo, who let him go. Looking at his record of close to 40 games with Freo, it shows in the way he goes about his game.

With Dempster and Gwilt out for a few weeks, he is a much needed/welcomed addition.

He has a kid and wanted to be near the folks in melbourne they offered him up for no takers then delisted him. Not so much guilty conscience as Robbo left them. He was a real up and coming player before Lyon arrived- perhaps too attacking and not stagnant enough.

Liked Dylan's attitude. Looks like he can consistently concentrate on the play - often was ready to rebound and be proactive attacking from defence. Keep it up!
I started to get that feeling 'oh it'll be safe in Dylan's hands'- and he's only plated 2 games but they were in a row !
Dylan can hold his spot for a while yet.
With a defence in flux @ the mo stability offers some hope and i'm looking forward to Dylan, Jimmy G., Chips, Simplin and Dempster clock up a good run of games together soon so we can see if they can bring a more water-tight defensive set up to the Saints. The results of the first 2 weeks have been disappointing but if we start getting better and more settled defensivly i'll be more relaxed as to where the team is headed.
GOOD LUCK TO HIM!

G O S A I N T S !

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.

Looks the goods so far. Possibly why Simpkin isn't in the team. His quicker and more flexible.

27 disposals from half back- we wanted Siposs to do that and he just snuck in and did it instead.

very impressive. he doesn't seem to lose too many contests and gets plenty of the ball - good offensive and defensive balance to his game.

Gun player. Comes home. Got him for nothing.

Terrific story all around.

It's nice for a change to be on the other end of Lyon letting players walk for free :P
