Pity that wasnt the line he preached to the senior players at the start of the season. Watters didnt know if he was coming or going for the first five or so weeks this season. Then he decided that yes we were rebuilding / in transition / restructuring. A perfect way to get the senior players off side. Not sure how he and Pelchen will get us to the promised land faster than we think when they are both a million miles apart and heading in opposite directions. The physio that had been there 6 or so years walked out yesterday and went straight to the Bulldogs. He didnt want to put up with the internal politics and crap any more. I say get ri d of them both and get some decent STKFC people down there.
Agreed!

But PLEASE get rid of that imbecile nettlefold FIRST!!

He is the "Einstein" that created this mess in the first place!!!

I think the communication of the rebuild to fans and players was a failing on Scott. He was too ambiguous with it.
Tried to have a bet each way which simply doesnt work.

Not really, there could be pretty decent reasons for Pelchen to be consistently away from the club… like meeting potential players and staff. He doesn't have to be at Seaford to be working.
Yeah, I don't really give a stuff if Pelchen is 10 minutes late to work or if he doesn't come in, if he's dedicated to getting results and he gets them, that's as much as we need. Big difference between that and Blight's attitude.

He may have been told to keep it positive at the start of the year to stop the outflow of members.

I think we were probably going to give it one last crack but we just couldn't get the players on the park early on. Defenders kept going down. Once he was pretty certain there was no where to go this year he stepped up the rebuild. Not really misleading just not what he would have liked.

These topics are doing my head in. The club is fine. Only the players and staff know the feeling within. Except for a couple of staff movements, there has been no mass exodus. Only the players involved in trade talk know if its huff and puff talk by Pelchen or clever manoeuvring by the list managers. For what it's worth I think the club and players are in a pretty good state of mind

I heard Nick Riewoldt on MMM yesterday.
When Brayshaw asked him whether Dal Santo and Montagna were really on the trade table, Nick responded "is Andrew Swallow on the trade table".
"No way" says Brayshaw.
"What if you were offered Jeremy Cameron and pick one in the draft"
something along the line of "ummm ohhhh "

"Everyone is on the trade table" says Nick.

Was just reading this weeks Inside Football mag and Crackers Keenan suggests that 'Peter SUMICH is signed sealed as WCE coach, they just wont announce it until Freo are finished there finals campaign'. So the rumour is most likely a incorrect.

Please give this sack the coach a rest it is tiresome.

Also the guy can't coach they have 10 debutants this year .

Any coach that has 10 senior players on his list who have been within an inch of flag (twice ) and come up short is always
in difficult position when faced with rebuild eg Collingwood then ended up same position .
Personally I am excited with what the next decade of new players bring to Stkilda

links to current leader board on the Virgin clip are here

they do mention that the top 3 get flights and we are well within that group

no one below Melbourne and Freo have made any mark..
