I'd love to hear an explanation from the club if we sack TDL one year on.

Trading in a player that we didn't need, that the coach used to know from the wafl is pretty ordinary at this level.

Slightly off topic but still relating to numbers and player turnover.

Didn't Pelchen? say that they want to have a 50% increase in the number of players drafted in the first 3 rounds over a 4 year period? ie - 18 picks instead of 12.

If that is the case it means that we'll just about have to trade 6 (- McEvoy) out over that timespan to get the extra picks. Lets hope that we have enough players with the currency to get those picks in future years. Hand in hand with that is that if we want higher picks we've got to be giving away better players - that will be interesting (& watch out for the supporter backlash!)

The only other ways that I can see that we can get more picks is to get a priority pick off the afl - not sure that I want us to be bad enough to earn one of them over the next few years. Or, we could trade a higher pick for more than one lower pick - no thanks.

Maybe this points to a greater liklihood of more trades now - Dal & Fisher & ?? - while these players still have trade-able value.

We will take 4 in the ND at the most, depending on delistings & trades.

We will also have 2 or 3 rookie picks.

But in order to draft 4 players in the ND, plus add Jolly & Weller… we'll need to get rid of 3 more… trade or payout contracted players…

I actually don't think Dal will go now. It depends on what clarification the club can get regarding our compo pick. I think if it's end of first round he will go. From what I'm hearing the club is not happy with pick 26, & neither they should be. They definately want the Luke Delaney deal kept seperate as we can get him in the PSD, so he has no currency in regards to Dal Santo.

Fisher will go to GWS, I have no doubt.

There are two people on this forum who seem to really know whats going on.

One of them is jaxons and the other is sax.

I believe that when a player serves an infraction notice he cannot be paid any money.
That means Saad stays on the list and takes up a list spot without bring near the club, but his contract is then zero dollars, or we delist him to place someone else on the list.
I think we will delist him with a promise to redraft after his sanction is complete.
