Who do you think will win the 2014 NAB AFL Rising Star? (Nine captains correctly nominated Jaeger O’Meara in 2013)
Jack Martin (Gold Coast, 7 votes), James Aish (Brisbane Lions, 2), Jack Billings (St Kilda, 2), Joe Daniher (Essendon, 2), Marcus Bontempelli (Western Bulldogs, 1), Harry Cunningham (Sydney Swans, 1), Brodie Grundy (Collingwood, 1), Josh Kelly (GWS, 1), Luke McDonald (North Melbourne, 1).
No one who has seen him play in the NAB cup I would surmise!
Tough gig playing small forward in our team.

Also wouldnt have been Hodgey as he is Colac, not private school

Jaegar O'Meara - Dongara.

I drove through Dongara a few weeks back actually. Not a bad joint.

Give him at least a couple of games to settle into the team, the pace, the physicality of the game. No one has doubted his quality.

Agreed but did you see Josh KELLY's game against us? Saints have picked Billings on potential because there was a huge gap in game readiness between the two!

We were also very aware of Jack 3's bursitis restricted '13. He also lost at least a month of preseason due to a quad (?).

He'll make ground pretty quickly, I reckon, once he starts to get past those setbacks.

First I've heard of this bursitis?

Could hardly train for a fair bit of the year and still made the AA side, to go with his AA selection in his 1st U-18 year.

A rare natural talent who prospered in '13 because of football ability alone.

It's our job to develop his physical side properly - his talent will do the rest.
