I like how Membrey has been used this season, forces his way in, stays in for a game or two... seems right on the cusp and it seems like he would deserve a go again next week

Holmes continues to impress... good to hear Pierce doing well too. I'm actually quite happy with our ruck stocks atm to be honest

Didn't Membrey kick 4 last week aswell. Backing it up with 5, seems the stint in the seniors has progressed him as a player. Hard to see at top level because of our limited ball and they mostly go to roo and Bruce.

As for Jones, pretty sure he was racking up decent possessions for us in his final season too but most of them were backwards handpasses. He's a workhorse so not surprised he finds a lot of it at VFL.

Troy Menzel, who was similarly dropped, was among the better Blues performers with 18 touches, while Blaine Johnson kicked four goals – all in the first half. Father-son prospect Bailey Rice was a shining light for the Blues, putting his body on the line at critical times in defence as well as providing some solid rebound. Ironically, Rice — the son of former Blues and Saints star Dean — played against the affiliate of the team he is thinking of joining.
Leading by 22 points at the last change, Sandringham finished the game off well as Tim Membrey capped a stellar game with five goals, while Clint Jones finished with 45 touches and two goals. Farren Ray had 33 disposals and Mitch Brown had 27. In the process, they have consolidated third spot on the ladder behind Box Hill and Williamstown.
However, Saints-listed player Brenton Payne suffered a suspected ankle injury and was stretchered off in the opening term and Eli Templeton sustained a hamstring injury.
