Are we playing "Mebounre" or in fact "Melbourne"??
I am totes confused

Would be a nightmare.
Hope Lonie doesn't come in either.
Hickey is an emergency, as he has been most of this year!

If Gilbert comes back in perhaps we flirt with Carlisle going forward. Can certainly mark and kick straight
Love this. As with the ALP in 1972, " It's time!"
We'd like the team to run through the banner to the tune of a Whitlam's song, just pick one, any song.

This Bobby, This!!!!!
You'd hope so after a good win where everyone contributed
True, even Mav played a role.
He might not have gotten many touches, but hey, he did some "blocking".
Is he the new version of those guys under Lyon who "played a role"?
Showed such promise until this year.
Oh, handballed to an Eagle too.

.
It angers me that it should be everyone's role to do some blocking for the ball carrier or player in better position.,.
I like mav for the fact he is a reliable shot on goal
But like hickey he has gone backwards this year, it DOES happen but we would like to known if there are reasons
As for role players that would make two in the forward 50 Weller and lonie

Like 9.18 for this season
Or 24.19 for last season
Or 51.61 for his career
45% across his career (even excluding this season he is still kicking at sub 50%)
Reliable needs above 60-65%
Career Stats
Tim Membrey 84.37 - 69%
Josh Bruce 126.70 - 64%
Nick Riewoldt 715.455 - 61%
Jack Lonie 28.38 - 42%
Jack Billings 46.62 - 43%
Struggling to make a case for Mav being reliable in front of goals when he is kicking at Lonie and Billing average (and they are being lambasted for the inaccuracy)
Mav needs to step up - we know he has the tools.

Agreed he has gone backwards this year
But given the type goals he gets the smash and crash crumbing goals he has been pretty good
Certainly better than lonie
I'm not advocating his place in the side just merely stating the coach seems to be selecting two role players in the forwardline each week
How about a kick goals role for any forward. Winning stats and losing games is a bit futile ladder wise. Has Mr Savage actually kicked more goals from half back than Mav Well-I never, and managed a few tackles. And can chew gum. Mav's manager must have contracted for him to be picked if fit. Meanwhile Battle and Marshall lack opportunities. So having said that I feel confident I have sufficiently tempted fate to let Mav be the match winner Sunday (fingers crossed and will back him as first goal kicker).
I'm liking the idea of Gilbert in for Roo and moving Carlisle forward for this game. Gilbert and Roberton can cover his role down back and he can help stretch their defense.
Otherwise maybe Hickey in for Roo to help out against Gawn, and when he's not rucking play him forward, he's shown competence there in the past.
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.
Decent side. Would have liked to see Josh Battle run around on the MCG. Gees there's going to be some heavy grunt work needed around the footy to win this match. Would love Armo to be playing.

Yep, Watts trained with Casey, they reckon he's out.
Or is it a false flag? A ruse?

Watts out yes.
But the 196cm Weideman, a key forward, is in.
Besides we can always play Jake forward at times if desired.
