Absolutely. And combined with his other recent comments about the lack of any apparent cohesive game plan, points further to the leadership malaise under Richardson. Never mind the spin from the club, or looking at list weaknesses as the main problem, if AR stays, we will go nowhere.Milne wrote: ↑Fri 15 Jun 2018 3:37pmIt hold more weight coming from someone who not only played under the current regime, but absolutely bled for the red white and black.Con Gorozidis wrote: ↑Fri 15 Jun 2018 3:31pm Do people really need Nick to point this out for them to acknowledge it. Re: Soft Saints?
Nic is a straight shooter. Says it as it is.
Not a devious bone in his body and he bleeds red white and black.
Therefore I think that Richo, bless his kind heart, is dead in the water.
Don't think they can just sack him though as his salary would remain in our cap.
Maybe he will just be demoted or will quit.
Hope we have a get out of gaol clause in his contract though.
The Board should be shot for giving him a two year extension.

I read on here that it's:
The president
The whole board
Ross Lyon
The coach
The coach is dodgy
The coach is weak
The game plan
The players don't like Kingsley
It's Danny Sexton
It's the goal kicking
It's the list
It's the history of the club
It's the AFL
It's lack of skill
And so on, and so on.
Riewoldt has put some context around why we see what we see.
It's not ability in his opinion. It's not the game plan. It's not the board or the president. It's not because there were unisex toilets at the game last week - it's because either the coach isn't pushing the players hard enough, and/or the players won't cop being pushed too hard.

Re: Soft Saints?
I think that about sums it up.
I couldnt believe that footage of the whole side standing flat footed in the swans forward line.
You would have to think. What the f*** is going on here.

“It wouldn’t be very brutal at all in my opinion,” he told Fox Footy.
“I’ve got a different view on what brutal looks like compared to the current group and that was probably something that really frustrated me over my last few years at the club.”

It's Timid Watson all over again.
And what if Richo overnight becomes fire-and-brimstone? Wouldn't they just laugh at him? Mr 34%?

Remember Maddie's Match last year?
I reckon he pushed all the right buttons in that one.
He gets MY vote.

WHY would he do that? Pay out on the club just to be a shock jock.
Good on you. Backing bloody Richo over one our greats.
Always thought you were a club apologist.

was he not still seen as a leader because he was a former captain, and experienced player? this was as commentators presented him throughout the year, he suggested years- so the previous year he was captain.

Re: Soft Saints?
I was at one of Roo’s book signings last year and I remember a comment that stuck with me.
The question was asked what made the team so successful in 2009-10
He said that back then they were unrelenting. Every part of the way they played was analysed and every player knew exactly what hey needed to do to get better.
He finished by saying and I quote
‘This current group has a way to go in that space.’
To me this improvement comes from the older players 27-31 year olds. Unfortunately our players that age bracket are scratching to maintain a spot in the tam let alone ‘set standards’ one big reason trout was shown the door. He sacking has more to do with what happened 2009-2012 than anything else..
