Gresham - gone to another level
Steven - gut running
Carlisle
Ross - getting back to best, needs to hit targets more often

Am I the only one who thought Mav did ok? Had 15 disposals, the same as Dunstan, 7 marks, 5 tackles. In the third qtr I thought he was instrumental in keeping us in it. Seemed to be everywhere

5. Jack Steven. One of the few four-quarter performers. Terrific in the middle

4. David Armitage. There is much debate elsewhere in this forum about Dave's future, but that is irrelevant for this thread. This thread is about our best players for this game, and Armo was hard at it all game , great pressure. If he had kicked straight, would have clearly been BOG.

3. Jade Gresham. Class.

2. Josh Battle . Kicked two early to keep us in it, great mark and kick in the last, strong forward pressure, amd even some ruck work in D50.

1. Daniel McKenzie. Super last quarter. Hopefully a turning point for DMac.

Yes it was against a rubbish team, but a win is sure better than a loss. Well done lads.

Dont think the coaches agree with too many on here.

"Four Saints have been rewarded by the AFL Coaches’ Association in the Saints’ come-from-behind victory over the Gold Coast Suns.

Midfield pair Seb Ross and Jack Steven each polled nine votes in the Shadforth Financial Group AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award, while David Armitage and match-winner Jade Gresham both polled three votes.

Ross was the leading ball-winner on the ground, picking up 33 disposals, including 13 contested possessions, as well as laying seven tackles.

WATCH: Highlights v Gold Coast

The 25-year-old was influential in the centre, and he formed part of the midfield group that annihilated the Suns in the clearances 54-21."

Savage was very good and he has been consistent this year. I wonder how he'd be going in the best and fairest...I'd have him top 10 and maybe top 8. I don't think any posters gave Shane Savage any votes against the Suns but I thought he played a 'solid' game once again

If he has a milestone game comimg up, the cheer squad should repeat what was on the banner for Farren Ray's 200th 8-)
