Yep - certainly the assistants. Thank god. And hopefully every incompetent that’s touched Development in the last 10 years.

Re: Sandy v Williamstown
Only watched a bit of the second, we were a couple of goals down, but it looked an even contest.
The conditions were beyond deplorable and the venue is not fit for a League of that standard. Utter suburban crap. There was a gale blowing, rain and spray off the sea, s*** you almost expected waves to break on the outer wing! What a disgrace, in all the years you would have thought those Western Suburbs clowns would have thought of putting a wall around the ground.
Kicking a goal would've have been enormously difficult and it may have been palatable if Willy had only kicked 3 or 4. However failing to kick one and allowing them to kick 9 in a half, in such conditions, is an absolue disgrace and must come down to effort.

Terrible result on the scoreboard. Good to hear Hickey figured among our better players, however. So why was Hickey dropped for Longer again?

Of course the conditions were terrible. So terrible in fact that Williamstown kicked 11 goals.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Sun 17 Jun 2018 7:02pm The conditions were close to the worst I have ever seen for that level of footy. Probably the worst actually. Lets not read too much into it. There was barely a clean possession the entire game.

Did you see the 3 quarter time score? The conditions were putrid. Apparantly the TV didn't do it justice. It was like watching local park footy div 4 level it was that bad.Jacks Back wrote: ↑Sun 17 Jun 2018 10:45pmOf course the conditions were terrible. They kicked 8 in the last qtr. the wind was literally gale force in the last qtr blowing straight down to the end williamstown were kicking to, the big difference though was the rain was gone and the ground had drained a bit so it was a lot easier to take advantage of the hurricane. When we kicked with the wind in the first qtr it hailed sideways and the ground was a flood zone. In the 3rd quarter there was still some rain and the wind wasn't as strong as the last. It was the perfect storm for WillyJacks Back wrote: ↑Sun 17 Jun 2018 10:45pmOf course the conditions were terrible. Re: Sandy v Williamstown
I would't read too much into result. It was a bad weather day.
There other weeks where you can judge the VFL team but not today.
Maybe so much to say that there isn't a lot of depth and a few injuries. But that's nothing new from going in the game.

"Two experienced Saints stood out despite Sandringham’s brutal 68-point loss to Williamstown on Sunday afternoon.
In utterly torrid conditions at Burbank Oval that saw a blustering gale and torrential rainfall all day, the Zebras failed to kick a goal for the first time in their 89-year history.
Sam Gilbert was outstanding in his return from injury with 24 disposals and six tackles, while ruckman Tom Hickey competed aggressively, finishing with 58 hit-outs and eight tackles.
Defenders Brandon White (16 disposals, three marks, two tackles) and Hugh Goddard (eight disposals, five marks) battled well in defence, restricting the opposition to three goals in the first three quarters before the Seagulls got on a run on in the last.
Conditions were some of the worst seen in years at Williamstown on Sunday.
After a grinding first three quarters and just a 15-point deficit at three-quarter time, Sandringham coach Aaron Hamill admitted the Seagulls simply wanted it more.
“It was really tough conditions in a game that was already difficult to score; we’ve never been involved in a game where we haven’t kicked a goal,” Hamill told saints.com.au.
“Williamstown adjusted to the conditions a lot better than what we did. We fought it out, but we were exposed in the contest against an opposition who just wanted it more than what we did.”
Hamill highlighted the games of ruckman Tom Hickey and the strong return of Sam Gilbert from injury.
“Gilbo (Sam Gilbert) was really solid in the middle, and Tom Hickey battled hard all day,” he said.
“It wasn’t a day for tall forwards, but Josh Bruce got through his second hit-out well and kept presenting in conditions that made it hard for him. He’ll be better for the run.”
Sandringham have the bye in Round 12 but return to face Port Melbourne at 2pm on Saturday 30 June at North Port Oval.
Williamstown 0.0 2.4 3.5 11.11 (77)
Sandringham 0.5 0.5 0.8 0.9 (9)

58 hit outs is a fair effort!
