Really surprised how happy people seem to be about only our 2nd win of the year against a very average side.

The side was slow on paper and sloth-like in practice, if we put that out again Melbourne will win by 15 goals.

Brown was getting destroyed by Lynch and was ordinary against Hogan and McDonald last time.

Mav has kicked 3 goals in 8 games this year. 3.

Out
Brown, Webster, Weller, Dunstan, Savage

In
White, Coffield, Acres, Freeman, Gilbert
Wholesale changes injecting a group of guys who just played in a swamp and couldn't kick a goal, plus one back from injury? I reckon we'd be odds on to pick Geary ahead of White anyway.

Last Melbourne game highlighted (for the third time) the complete lack of defensive pressure exerted by our midfield, the ball ripped in and out of the centre corridor so fast their forwards got it on a platter. Any changes I'd be making would target that area. We've been very indecisive coming off our half back line each time also, but with an almost completely new defence, I guess we just have to suck and see.

My worry is once Geary is fit he comes straight back in when we should just keep playing as many kids as we can

When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss

Why is it we can select Hickey and Marshall in the same side but can not include either when Longer is selected?

What message is this sending?

I would prefer Hickey and Marshall

Well, the coach has already said that if Geary is fit he comes back in, along with Bruce.

Who does Bruce replace?

Probably Battle...so we can exchange 2-3 goals a game for 2-3 points.

Surely Battle's earned his spot for next game at least. I like Bruce, but IMO he has to wait until McCartin, Membrey or Battle fail. Probably won't have to wait long.
