Not me.

I still think both Richo and the club need to take different directions at the send of the season.
Concur.
My ideal headline?
“Richo calls time at Saints”

Alan Richardson says regardless of the Saints first round finals exit, it’s time for a fresh voice at Moorabbin while he settles into a footy director role (here/other club)...

...the club no longer has legitimate champions

....This season should not just be about trying to make finals, but development of players for the future.
I would agree except a voice reminds me that we have been in 'rebuild' mode for years and we've seen other teams forge ahead of us whilst our languishing team has become unattractive as a destination, forcing us to take what many would consider outlandish risks like Hannebury. I wonder if we are not in the North/Bulldogs trap, but perhaps even worse - at best, eeking out good individual or team efforts from 6/10 players for patches of the season or at worst, allowing those 6/10 players to really sink under the auspices that it is a consequence of 'development'. And once again, if rebuild is fresh and new it is a different story, but since 2012?

A failure to make the finals this year (highly likely) would probably make a fresh start mandatory, regardless of the excuses.
What's preventing us from landing big names?

Honestly, I don't think it's malaise but rather the support the stronger clubs like Collingwood, Essendon, Geelong and Hawthorn get from the AFL.

We had a serious crack at Dylan Sheil last year but were ripped off by Essendon with an AFL approved a salary cap fraud.

Incentive payments to listed companies usually contain two types.
Long term incentive usually 3 years and short term incentive usually 1 year.

Most of the incentive is in the long term incentive because it encourages management to grow the company for the future instead of pursuing and manipulating short term gains that don't last.
If Richo is only incentivised for one year he will behave as incentivised.
He will ignore player development and pursue wins at all cost.

This would seem to be typical of the stupid management that has infested St Kilda FC for more than a century.

At TeamInvest we would prefer management were incentivised for even longer than 3 years.
