Every generation has its piles of crap too, don’t forget to mention them in your list!
Yep, The Monkees were crap, but still more interesting than Taylor Swift.
Again, matter of preference. I don’t go for either, but both definitely better than, say, Tiny Tim.

Everybody think the music was better “back in my day”, and I don’t think that will ever change.

All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.

The Monkees weren't crap.
They had a string of smash hits.
"Daydream Believer" is close to the best pure pop song ever written.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

She was crap which ever one she was.
No she wasn’t - but you’re probably several decades above their target market.
Yup, Saynta is from an ancient time when the contemporary artists were:

The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Cream, Elvis Presley, The Doors, Janis Joplin, David Bowie and a strange fellow called Frank Zappa.

How envious he must be of the current young generations, because they've got Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift!

F**k me, I'm envious too.
At least they could all sing, not like today's one day wonders.

No one will still be playing their songs in 20, 30, 40 or 50 years time, unlike the oldies you mention,

Actually don't mind Ed or Taylor, but Tones and I , no f****** thanks,

Not quite as bad as Meatloaf though. Looked a lot like him though. :D

Mike Nesmith wrote Different Drum which helped launch Linda Ronstadt to fame in Stone Ponys.
