Great to have been at Marvel tonight. Had a good feeling St Kilda would do a Carlton to the Tigers in that last quarter and they did!
Good also seeing many Richmond supporters leaving early too.

Our midfield are getting slaughtered. Crouch, Gresham, Ross and f......g liabilities in the middle. How is it the Tigers have players lose and out numbering us all over the ground?

Was concerned going into the game that Richmond's run could bring us unstuck, particularly with a taller Saint's side in. Looked grim till midway through the third but the Saints powered over the top of them - didn't see that onslaught coming. Richmond's run got up and left as the Saint's pressure ramped up and disposal improved.
Still not convinced that playing that many talls is the optimal line up but it worked well enough in the end today.
All in all very happy with the result. Even the quieter players from the earlier part of the match got their act together and it became a very solid team performance.
NWM showed more glimpses (by hand and foot) of what is to come.
I think similar to last week we had opportunities in the first half & didn't take full advantage . After half time our intensity & pressure went to another level & Richmond just could not go with us & the last quarter was a walk in the park. Great effort from all involved .
Howard, Battle, Wilkie and Webster are a really good defensive unit. Wood and Lienert played their roles.
McKenzie is in the best form of his life
Marshall and Ryder super important as a ruck duo
The talls including Hayes, Membrey and King are going to trouble a lot of teams.
Our midfield are starting to work a lot better and they seem to be running out games really well.
Gresh is working his way back to his pre-injury form
We are also getting the little things right. We upset the Tigers when they thought they had the ascendancy. We also stood up to them when they wanted to try and soften us up. Our leaders and our bigger blokes aren’t afraid of some push and shove.
You have to try and get into your opponents head when you need a change of momentum. Congratulations to Butts for drawing a 50m penalty from Pickett. Butts and Long are important to the team for their speed and the pressure they provide inside our forward line.

Those three were three of our best.
I'll put my hand up, by half time I had totally lost confidence in the coach and midfield.
I see things in a different light now.... but they had to flick that light switch and they did.
