A fair post except for the last 11 words. Pretty silly to come to that conclusion about Max King after 10 rounds, more so because the club is 7-3.
King needs to learn to use his height and mark the ball. At the moment it looks like Paddy McCartin is teaching him how not to mark.

Playing Geelong will be a huge benchmark for us.
If we are to exert any presence in the finals we need to be able to put the Cats away.

We just need Ratts to time his outburst about King having his arms chopped, perhaps after we win the Prelim.

Maybe his learning will take longer than 10 games. I'm not sure how Ben was going after 10 but I know by the end of 2019 he began to believe in himself & looked very good.

Just came back from the game I have to say I am so underwhelmed by Hill I guess he is not supposed to go for the hardball but he wouldn’t even go for the softball. A good win tonight and I’ve forgotten what it was like to be able to read the play from above I have to say the sun’s looked really slick at times and we were lucky to get away with that win Carlisle won the game for us tonight. Max will be a superstar. Butler already is

The chopping continues in nearly every contest and it was the most frustrating part of that game for me.

His brother got a free for a hip and shoulder in a marking contest at the other end but I counted at least 3 clear chops of Max's arms in that game.

I have no idea why the other teams -- it's not the first game this has happened -- are allowed to get away with it.

Shout out to Nick Hind again who I thought gave us some spark in the last as well - shame he missed the snap goal and also the one on the line but his speed, energy and hustleness is very important

Worst part is I'd rate his effort in the contest tonight above average during his Saints career.

Needs to lift and have a big game against Geelong.

Very tough game coming up.
Might be the right time to use the depth in the squad

Lonie or Parker back in rest Gresham
Bytel, Langlands or Byrnes in rest Jones
Savage in rest Paton
Ross in rest Clark
Geary In drop Phillips
Marsh in rest King

That's better lol. Carlisle was good but Steele and Butler were the match winners tonight.
The win is what mattered though and the drink would have been worth it up there. Cheers :D

So confident in his abilities...He totally expects to kick those goals every time.

So many kicks are aimed toward the pack of King and the resting ruckman.
Members is getting sucked into that pack and is frequently unable to use his leap effectively.
Reckon he needs to be leading away form the pack and create an option.

A fair post except for the last 11 words. Pretty silly to come to that conclusion about Max King after 10 rounds, more so because the club is 7-3.
Max competed, competed and competed.
Gold Coast could not intercept mark.

Phillips was untidy. He will make way for Geary.

Did anyone else notice that Zac Jones was repeatedly tackled tonight before he took possession. Umpires just allowed it. It was primarily that issue that cost us dearly in the clearances

King will be fine. I think the pressure of possibly being shown up by "Junior" may have told

Fair crack. He’s 20 years old and has played about ten games.
