I guess this makes us and Essedon even now? They gave us top 4 last year, we give them top 8 this year.

a bit to learn from that - especially on here - a certain little sniping 'saints' poster needs to grow up or stay off on game days!

Riewoldt missed with a set shot after the siren...45m out.

Great comeback. No worries. 19-1 Brilliant no matter how you look at it.

The loss we didn't need to have but oh well....
Time will tell of course, but I feel we will get more out of the close loss than burgling the game against an undermanned Essendon. I would have liked to win but I am relieved that it has happened now before the finals, and the pressure valve of expectation in going undefeted can now be released. We were pretty average today and showed some resolve to come back from 7 down, the reason we were 7 down against a middle of the road team can now be addressed. Don't panic Sainters because this can all work in our favour in a few weeks time!

Well said and agree 100% ...something tells me that a win here under the circumstances would have been counter productive...the underfeated thing was going to be a disavantage IMO...Essendon will probably lose to Freo in the west next week and we will cream the kangas...we learn from it and move on

This loss has taken a big monkey off our backs for mine

It was only going to get bigger the further we went towards the big prize

Now its out of the equation, particularly in the media, and we can concentrate 100% on what really matters.
