If Carlisle has back issues again or Ratts thinks he is simply not playing well enough why aren’t Claravino or Austin getting a crack?
Because they would need to have the ambulance on standby to administer CPR within the first 5 minutes of the game to stop their lungs flying outta their chest cavities.

We need another tall!!!! They have:
Jarrod Brander - 195, Hunter Clark - 187
Oscar Allen - 192 v Nick Coffield - 191
Kennedy - 196 v Dougal Howard - 199
Jack Darling - 191 v Callum Wilkie - 191
Liam Ryan - 179 v Ben Long - 184
Jack Petruccelle - 185 v Ben Paton - 189

And
Nic Naitanui - 201 v Rowan Marshall - 201
Jake Waterman - 191 v Josh Battle - 193

SO BRING IN CARLSILE (200) for Geary, Kent or Hind. Carlsile shouldn't be out bodied by Brander, Allen or Waterman. And he give extra cover for when Nic Nat is resting forward.

Swap paton clark and coffield around in your match ups and it isnt so bad.

If there is pressure on in the midfield then individual match ups don't matter too much.

Every chance battle spends some time in the backline if required.

I should think you'd be delighted to find yourself at full forward lining up on Carlisle. He's a great intercept mark but no point trying make him accountable for anyone that can move. One side-step and you're good to go.

I think it is exactly as the club has said. He was omitted after a poor game against Brisbane and hasn’t been able to win his spot back. Rightly or wrongly
It’s more to do with his partner being very close to giving birth.
The club should say it's personal reasons then.

No mystery, he is an emergency, which means he is capable to play, but not wanted in the team.
That with having to handle both Kennedy & Darling.
Howard gets one, Wilkie gets the other with maybe Battle as replacement if one is getting slaughtered.
Wilkie Height: 191cm Weight: 87kg

You mention two tall forwards, however WCE often play 4 tall forwards, plus NicNat pushing forward. Though at least NicNat marks rarely.

Looking at their selected team various talls in their forward line can include:

Kennedy Height: 196cm Weight: 102kg
Brander Height: 195cm Weight: 92kg
Darling Height: 191cm Weight: 95kg
Allen Height: 192cm Weight: 87kg
Waterman 191cm Weight: 92kg

We do have Coffield. Height: 191cm Weight: 86kg

So I sense a mix match with Geary on a taller opponent :(

Though we could have all of Howard, Battle, Wilkie and Coffield back, but we would still be height and weight challenged. Lets the rain is on the heavier side.

Just stand behind your forward, no one one the hole, let them take chest marks in the 50.

Is that the instruction cos that's what we're doing

Getting smashed in the air.. why can 100 fans see that Carlisle should play this week but the selectors cannot?

mismatches with Paton on Kennedy, Coff on Darling etc have cost us badly

The game will have to be over by 7.30pm though so every poor bastard can get home before quarantine / lockdown / home detention starts for the evening.

Otherwise that stupid prick that runs this sh1tstate will have a profitable night on the fine front.

I wonder if Hind will play on the wing . Or is Battle playing in defence ? Or both of the above !
One has to imagine that Battle goes back.

Selection has been a mystery for me for a while. My concern is that the all signs point to a bomb it forward to King and let the small feast on the crumbs strategy.

Not one that I’m particularly found of

So no mystery Ace?

They kept getting a clear height mismatch on Geary all night including twice in the last quarter when the game was up for grabs.
