Swap paton clark and coffield around in your match ups and it isnt so bad.

If there is pressure on in the midfield then individual match ups don't matter too much.

Every chance battle spends some time in the backline if required.

I should think you'd be delighted to find yourself at full forward lining up on Carlisle. He's a great intercept mark but no point trying make him accountable for anyone that can move. One side-step and you're good to go.

I think it is exactly as the club has said. He was omitted after a poor game against Brisbane and hasn’t been able to win his spot back. Rightly or wrongly

It’s more to do with his partner being very close to giving birth.

That with having to handle both Kennedy & Darling.
Howard gets one, Wilkie gets the other with maybe Battle as replacement if one is getting slaughtered.

You mention two tall forwards, however WCE often play 4 tall forwards, plus NicNat pushing forward. Though at least NicNat marks rarely.

The part I do not understand is that Butler, Kent, Lonie and Hind are all in. With King, Battle, Membrey and ( for at least part of the game ) Marshall/Ryder up there, it will be very crowded !

I wonder if Hind will play on the wing . Or is Battle playing in defence ? Or both of the above !

One has to imagine that Battle goes back.

Selection has been a mystery for me for a while. My concern is that the all signs point to a bomb it forward to King and let the small feast on the crumbs strategy.
