When Lockett was in his prime

We played finals

In 88/89/90/93/94 he missed large chunks of seasons either injured or suspended.

91 he was so good we played finals despite him missing 6 games
If he played all games we might’ve finished high enough to get the double chance
92 he played a full season we won a final (WCE were awesome team!)

In 87 despite being in an ordinary team he kicked 117 and we won games.

One star cannot win you games of footy on their own, especially if they are a forward. But they help!

Every premiership team has at least half a dozen stars
Average teams with average lists do NOT win finals or even make finals, regardless of who their coach is...

Currently Melbourne have
Gawn, Oliver, Petracca, May, Lever, Pickett

Who are guns in their positions
