Yep once again our player development is poor. His brother Ben is that far in front of Max its embarrassing. It's like Max has been told not to lead and when does he leads wide to the boundary or just falls over.

Its like watching Bambi on skates!

If Collingwood ever start running the ball and attacking they will kick 2 or 3 quick goals and the Saints will shyte the bed!

Wilkie Howard and Webster all doing a good job with both their defence and excellent kicking

Wilkie had an amazing half. AA stuff.

Steele, Crouch and Hill (apart from his last kick) superb too.

The Pies, on paper, are a stronger side. I think we’re going ok really.

At the game and thankfully not as cold as I was expecting

I saw some criticism on this thread of Membrey, but his gut running to make an option all over the ground has been superb.

Wilkie is just so cool, calm and effective. Webster and Sinclair ditto

Steele, Crouch and Dunstan all great inside , and Hill ( until the last minute ) outside .

Sorry but Max King is a major disappointment today . Does not attack the footy. Points this way and that in the ineffective style of McCartin.

1 mark for a crap load of forward 50 entries tells you whoever is in charge of our forward 50 strategy has 1 Strategy: BOMB last kick into 50
FFS WHY can’t our forwards lead up at the ball into space????? Why can’t we have a busy forward line that gets on the move ????

We’re wasting our entries

28 x i50’s and only 1 mark in the forward line

The long bomb seems to first option rather than the final option. The biggest problem is that our forwards don’t lead straight toward the bloke with the footy. Our forward need to provide a lead up option and just continue to offer leads.

Surely if you are there you can see we are bombing the last kick in???
We are not using King at all well he ought to be leading up to the ball not having it kicked on his head to take amazing pack marks against 3 pie defenders and Grundy
It’s just really dumb football , we’ve been doing it for a long time abs it has to be game plan style abs if so it’s just absolutely stupid

Our forward line and game plan looks like it’s not set up to play that way - it’s stop, prop, BOMB
Seb Ross is a disgrace his first move after marking the ball is to stop , prop then some shitty floating little kick..
I’ve changed my tune....
Dunstan stays

We play a terrible style of football for big forwards. Watch GC on Thursday night compared to us and then you’ll understand why Ben looks much better than Max.

Our work rate, our physicality, and our team work has been very good

Need some polish and some better composure going i50 and we’ll maintain our lead

THiS so much
WTF is our forward line coaching plan doing?
What is our transition plan doing ?
That last kick into forward 50 has been an issue for so long it’s why our goals are so hard to kick ....scrounge scrape ...
King in another side would not be used this way

Steele marks the footy 65 out. He goes back and looks…

Forward line stagnant. No one leading. Absolutely zero leads

He bombs it to King who has 3 blokes on him contesting and Collingwood scramble and clear it

I'm a massive King fan and agree with the other posters when they say it seems our game plan looking from the outside is purposefully designed to make life for a tall forward as miserable as possible but there are some things he needs to sort out.

He still has that weird habit of being unable to take seemingly regulation marks and marks where he's in prime position. Really needs to impose himself upon the game more.

Yep it’s all going well, but geez I’d like to see Ratts empty out the forward line and have Marshall, King and Membrey lead out of the goal square.
