Yep, they wouldn't, especially Mini. If he has another crap game, "I will Spew Up!" like Terry Wallace once said. He can't even kick goals now from 30m out ffs. Steven and Armo have at least proven they can score and from what I've seen this year offer more at the contest than McQualter.

For some strange reason Ross is overly patient with this guy. My gut feeling is he will let us down again tomorrow night but geez I'm praying that he proves me wrong as he cannot be a passenger again tomorrow.

I'm disappointed Armo missed out, however, if someone doesn't deliver and plays s*** or gets injured, he should get his chance.

I would of thought a wet game we could really benefit from a hard in and under player, and someone to hit selwood hard.

I think Mini was very lucky. (And please kick straight during the finals this time) ;)

Chin up armo :)

I'm not about to justify Mini's consitency this season, but I thought his Rd 13 game was his best this year, if he matches up particularly well against them....wouldn't you go the proven?

Oh, and I don't think Armo would be taking Mini's postition either, more likely fighting with Geary?

Would have liked to see Armo instead of Geary, but one player isn't going make much difference unless he turns in a shocker.

Pleased with the rest of the side and close to our best 22.

Probably, but I just love the way armo goes at the footy, along with his tackling... imo he's our best tackler in the team which I would of thought would prove wonders in the wet.

Most probably Fisher??...

There is no way we will go into this game without Dempster in the side...
He will only come in if sam fisher is injured. then dempster in and zac to fb and blake to chb.

but the team as selected is our best 22. its the 22 i would have gone for exactly.

and their team looks good too.

sheesh. no excuses for either team. this is a true

All up, I think a minor improvement from last year.

McEvoy > King
Gwilt > Clarke (of 09)
Geary = Dempester
Ball > Peake

I am a big fan of Gwilt but Clarke was one of our best performers last September.

That's right Mini needs to find the damn ball before he can have a shot at goal lol.

Gwilty has bypassed what Raph was/is IMO.

Jimmy G has become as solid as a rock. Dependable with just a teaspoon of daring.

He is a very good defender now. And consistent.

Yep. No Max Rooke tackles whilst dreaming in the opening minutes of the GF.

And not because Rooke isn't there.

I like Raph, but I feel he will always be prone to the once a game brain fades.

Speaking of Rooke, very glad he isn't playing as I think they missed him against us in Rd 13. Now they are robbing their midfield (gablett) to cover his absence up forward IMO, risky move given we won the midfield battle last time.

I should have added that I'd like the time to come when both play in the same side. Gwilt's dependability would allow Raph's natural creativity to run less stifled by the handbrake of fear of f****** up... I reckon, anyway...

2009 Ball greater than 2010 Peake? Ball's first two finals last year were not that flash. Yes great GF....but the other two were not better than Peake's current form.

Gardiner 2010 > Gardiner 2009
Last year Gardiner was quite variable and alte in the year tailed off. This year Gardi has been fitter and is cherry-ripe going into finals.

With Ottens not be as good this year, and with Blake being poor around the ground IMO this gives us an edge in the bigman department.

2009 Roo was carrying a knee injury. 2010 Roo is the fittest he has been fora while.

Well if you're gonna compare players personal form

Roo 10 > Roo 09 (was injured)

BJ 10 > BJ 09

Dawson 09 > Dawson 10

Schneider 10 > Schneider 09

Mini 09 > Mini 10

Kosi 09 = Kosi 10 (finals form)

Until MG plays a good final i dont care what he is like in the H & A season. I'd Still rank Ottens clearly over MG but Ben does have Blake covered. Ball and Peake shouldnt even be compared. Totally different players. Armo was supposed to be the Ball replacement and Lovett was supposed to be the bonus player. It has now turned out to be Peake as a new player just not the player RL hoped it to be.

It's difficult to argue with all of that but I reckon I would pick Clarke ahead of Gwilt. Gwilt is a better kick though, and seems to have found a clear role in Saints Footy 2.0 (or 20.10?).

I agree having them both in the team will be a joyous spectacle.

No. The Ball replacement is to play an extra running player = Peake as it has turned out.

IMO the club recruited Lovet and Peake, who both had issues, hoping that one would make it.

Not sure you can play 23.

Would be handy if you could.

The selcetion of the lets say the outsiders that i do most agree with is Geary.

I think this kid is going to shine, you only have to look at his drop of the ball onto boot to realise hes got the goods albeit need some refining. Hes young hes hard at it and hes going to shine. Give him a little breathing space. He is going to come up trumps and i think he will have a good finals campaign. If he turns to crap well he will quickly be replaced.

Armitage imho should be selcted to replace mini buuut i feel mini did enough last week to keep his spot.

Yeh may,be but it might not rain until midnight..anyones guess ..basically think our team should be suited by anything wet regardless..wonder how close Jack Steven was ??

My only question with Armo is his ability to run/close down space and get to mutliple contests. Seen a few games where Ive wondered if he was sitting on the bench......only to find hes just faded from the contest.

His inside/tackle work has been good recently and if they tag Lenny he'dhave been handy.....I reckon he'll get his chance...
