Not long to go now...

Will be very interesting to see what direction we take...

My opinion is we go with the best pick available, as is the obvious choice..

Particularly with our first 2/3 picks... No point punting on a mid ahead of a ruck/KPP player just cos of his size & posi when he is clearly more speculative...

If he's anywhere between 175-205cm and is the next best cab off the rank, nab him...

Very interested to see where Grigg goes... Have seen him everywhere from the teens to the 60's in phantom drafts... An interesting case study into where recruitment is heading, as in all accounts he is a highly skilled, talented player, severally lacking on the athletic side (speed) of the ledger..

IMO, if he's around our 2nd or 3rd pick, he's worth a look...

Looking forward to the evenings events..

Good thread..

3?! I'll go with 2.

Milera, Siposs are two we have recruited lately for this role.
Maybe another mid size forward in the draft.

I feel we should take 3 talls (fwd/back/ruck) and 3 mids.
Early picks, take the best available.
As long as 1 of the 3 mids can play forward, is quick and can kick goals and has a mature body I'd be happy with that.
No more smalls or slight builds... we have too many already.
Marley Williams sounds like your man
He appears to fit the bill ... right build, evasive, kicks goals... maybe a tad short still at 181 cms ?
Shhh !

Here's some more info :

DOB: 27th September 1990

Nickname: Shents / Humphrey / The Panther

Position: Forward

Height: 186cm

Weight: 80kg

Another product of the Norwood FC junior development system, Cameron is a super quick forward who can play as a wingman. He is a very good kick for goal & an exceptional mark on a lead. A quite lad, Cameron has an opportunity to develop into a senior regular over the coming seasons if he continues to work hard on his game.

Comes from the same club as Puopolo,Duigan and Lower who ahve all made smooth transitions into AFL

Has been strongly linked to us Essendon and Geelong

Pelchen may have him in mind

P.s - kicked 43 goals in 17 games as a winger cum forward
What do you know it we picked him up !
