Cripps has been sh1t-house. He had one good moment, being the mark and goal in the opening minute. Every other touch has been scrappy , lacking composure and usually turning it over. I've seen nothing to suggest he's improved since being a Saints player.

Going on that analysis it's good that we traded him for what turned out to be pick 40...(we also traded pick 47 for pick 43)
He is playing in the same team as the guy we should have taken, maybe you compare...
Would you like me run you through there careers to date....
Oh cheap shot one...
He's done pretty much FA
How come you never mentioned we should have taken darling before the draft and why are we the only club to make the mistake. 16 other sides made the same mistake. It is again hindsight.
No that's not the case for some clubs.... There were better players that were better picks... Bout he should have gone around pick 5 from what I can see...
Why did I not say him before 2010 draft??
I told you many times, for the first time in years I did not analyse the draft to closely or see any of the kids play... I read the bios in the paper and that was it... And some write ups...
I did however know of Jack as he was a big hit the year before..... Looked a lock for top 5 2010...
Perhaps should have been, recruiters too busy looking for a reason not to draft a kid, they fail to see the most important thing..... Can he play?? We weren't the only ones to pass on Jack.... Does that make it OK (what a defence)
WCE were beside themselves after the draft..... Gaff and Darling....
i know he has made a couple of kicking errors, but darling still gets the ball...whoever picked cripps over him is a f****** idiot....and don't anybody try saying it's easy to pick players with hindsight.......plenty on here ..including me ..wanted the club to draft darling..it seems the eagles are the only ones with even half a clue ffs.....i was devastated when we selected cripps...so were plenty of others....
...don't believe me???go back and check...
credit where credit is due though...cripps just kicked an amazing goal....
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will

Who said it made it ok. It is hindsight though. And you knew of jack. Why does that matter. You never mentioned him once for all your excuses. And what does this mean... And this??...
Its hindsight and in hinsight most clubs would draft him. Doesnt make it right. As I write the gutless weak dog Cripps kicks another.

Darling went so late because of the crap doing the rounds at the time that he was trouble and a loose cannon.....due to a fight that he got into at a pub/nightclub.....an incident that was a case of self-defence (apparently). Wonder who may have beat up the story!!!
What also contributed to us not taking him was that Lyon had instructed the recruiters that he wanted nothing but midfielders in that draft.....was also why there was such a delay when we took Siposs (not a midfielder). To his credit, Peake was able to convince Lyon that he was too good to overlook at pick 75.
Extra! Extra! Read all about it......no I don't want to read about it anymore!!!
BigMart wrote:Explain how a compromised draft makes a difference..... He was selected with the 24pick in any case.
Great pick, he was....
You really can be daft… when gold coast pre-list 12 players before the draft, pick 24 is closer to pick 36, so trading him for pick 40 is probably around the mark.
I think he means when they were allowed to take the cream of the 17 year olds to fill out their list so a whole group never even got to the 18 yo draft.
