Lee got more of his possession from marks last year than Justin Koschitzke did. Everything I've seen of him suggests he's a leading, marking forward.

Blake may well be in as back up ruck for Ben if Rhys is to hold down a defensive post.

And probably make a reasonable fist of it. too, knowing Blakey. Still, they'll want to find a spot for Hickey down the track.

So you must be stinger's brother then?
Blake gives away free kicks. Blake doesnt get Brownlow votes.
I believe the votes & the frees are decided by the same visually impaired Golem triplets.
Go figure.

Was a bit surprised that Simpkin didn't get a run. He looked as though he would come on from a promising start last year. He needs game time.

Has Blake been kept in as a ruck chop-out option? Stanley has done this quite well to date.

Agree tef.

I reckon Simpkin at this point in their careers is better than Blake.

Perhaps we don't have other ruck options to give McEvoy a chop out? Stanley...Maister. Nope.

Strange decision considering where the team is at.

I did read something about Simpkin and Watters having a big fallout over summer tho.

I'm going on the Foxtel cup, he was like a slippery running goal sneak who took marks but more as a lead up. His highlights show some contested grabs so he must have done some at Claremont at WAFL level. My lasting impression is possibly wrong but he seemed more like he worked hard and manufactured goals like a small forward but also I guess that lead up mid sized Ryan OKeefe in him too.

He certainly wasn't a pack crasher like Kosi.

Scary if true ...... Simpkin is 1 future prospect I had making it!!

Great spoil and level headed and hard at it!

Anyway, playing Blake is a complete waste of time - it's got to be about the future

Surely Mac with help from Stanley for a chop out can hold ruck?

Are we suggesting Blake's only in to ruck ??? Tad inflexible for mine
