Not much, probably 50k or so above market. But you are talking half a mill plus per year.

Personally, I reckon he would f*** up deluxe at some stage if he came to us. Probably get found with some hookers, with a bottle of JB hanging out of his arse while he sneezes through a cocaine moustache.

Or something similar.

The risk for Martin is only low. An has been blown up huge in the media i feel.
And even if the risk was higher, I'd still take him because the reward is huge.
A huge bulk of a man (still only 21)
Plays in the guts, kicks goals, gives huge fend offs, runs and carries.
Any club who doesn't want that is retarded.
Will be an absolute star if everything off field lines up.

I heard some stories about Martin that would suggest it's only a matter of time before he gets himself in trouble.

Extremely risky prospect.

Wouldn't be surprised if Richmond either try to move him on or make him an offer so low he wants to leave.

If people took notice of every story told even in a week at a local pub then I doubt any side could field a team. i would take martin in a heartbeat but I reckon where closer to finding gold in my backyard than being a chance of getting him.

Not sure how we could get him without going through the pre-season draft…

The tigers would be very hard to please in a trade, our #3 would be the only thing & surely we are not going to trade that away.

Could see the #1 pick going to Richmond from GWS though… the tigers could still do with another quality key forward.

Martin and pick 13(ish) for pick #1 maybe?

Turned 22 in June.

But point taken - After 4 seasons hed only be 26 at the end of a 4 year contract.

Just how loose is he really off field? and is there really a chance wed get him? We have the cash after BJ left. Id rather get a 22yo on a 4 year than a 28yo - mind you BJ will only be 31 at the end of his 4 years.

Crazy to leave the Tiges atm.

I guarantee you he is a serious risk.

He is a gun, but if they don't sort him out, he'll do more damage than good to the Tigers.

Unless we pay way over what any other club will offer, then I cant see what will entice Martin - or any other decent player, to our club next year. Many of the so called experts say we haven't bottomed out yet and may still have another 2 years of decline before things start to improve .. (the thought of declining further than 3 losses is just awful).

When we start to show signs of recovery then and only then will other clubs players believe we can offer hope of playing finals

Hamill & Gehrig came to us at a very low point… so it's possible…

Didnt both suggest they liked the idea of playing under Blight. Im not sure SW has that much pull.

in three mins it's increased by 100k wow, rumour time probably started by Richmond fans wanting to get rid of him for a good price, but rumour don't create trades

Big time. Big bodied, tall midfielder who gets it a lot & can snag 2 goals a game.
