No doubt others could have been dropped on form as well but dropping Billings (and Bull) makes a statement to the developing crew. And I think six changes on one week is enough ...

I just think it is unfair to scapegoat the young ones when the oldies are a lock every week regardless of form.

That may well be right but we've lost 3 oldies in 2 weeks; there's probably a limit to how much experience we're prepared to drop coming off the back of a belting, and with a debutante in the mix.
