Why do people want to trade Longer?

What happens when Mumford goes down ... Like last year
They fall

Mumford is almost done IMO and given his game style is always an injury away
Longer would be an awesome get for them as insurance
They don't need 8 mid guns running around in NEAFL
They need a ready made replacement for Mumford

You make a moot point..
You think Longer is a dud why would they want a dud? Why would he be a god get for them but useless for us.
You must also think Hickey is bullet proof.

We will continue to develop our ruck stocks until we have rucks that can play forward. As stated several times our ruck numbers are on the mid to lower side of most teams.

There is no way Bruce is the answer or is seen as the answer. He's not a ruck who can play forward , he's a genuine forward who we currently have to play to give Hickey a break.
We loose almost every center clearance when he goes up against a recognized ruck, he can pinch it at forward ruck contests but is no where near good enough in the middle.

What you think GWS want,need, or may consider is completely irrelevant , like your comments are

Yes It's possible Longer won't develop sufficiently or may want to leave in future ... But for now he wants to have a crack at regaining the number 1 ruck spot.
