Re: Sandy v Port Melb
I think a couple of VFL grounds are used for cricket, albeit done in MID March
Port, Kardinia Park, Williamstown and a couple of others... many are footy only now

On cricket, can anyone please explain why the state government gave cricket victoria the Junction oval only to then hold our (Victoria's) final in Alice Springs? What's up with that?BigMart wrote:I think a couple of VFL grounds are used for cricket, albeit done in MID March

As ex-president Peter Summers said:

he didn't play in the final pre-season match (?JLT) did he? If I'm correct on that, what is the issue with Sean bratty?saintbrat wrote:it was only a practice match- but no he didn'tloris wrote:Did Sean Dempster actually play in this match?? Haven't heard/read anything about him.

Re: Sandy v Port Melb
Oh that's not a good rumour. So hope it's not true, he was sorely missed down back last week and has always been such a favourite of mine, so not only did the backline miss him, but I missed him toosaintbrat wrote:not sure but according to TFS there is an issue re his future in footy/ at club? Maybe fatherhood has given him a new perspective on life/football balance? And possibly he has finished his studies & has other horizons in front of him. Gee I hope he stays on.
Richo said something the other week, along the lines of 'it was Sean's decision not to play in ???? match'. Meaning he wasn't injured/dropped. At the time I thought that was a strange comment, but I was travelling interstate at the time and unable to follow up on it. Didn't read anything on here so I thought it must have been me mistaking what I heard.
