Thanks SainterK. They are fine, they were just a bit stressed and worried about the damage. I was worried my dad (in his 60's) was going to get on the roof to try and fix the tiles. In the end my husband went over and did it. I was worried about him too, but he is younger and more used to being on roofs as he used to be an electrician. He replaced about a dozen tiles I think and that at least stopped any more water coming into the house.
He got home from there with dinner just in time for the game, so I watched it live on Fox which was ok in the circumstances.
