I’m pretty bullish about our club’s direction under Ratts and feel that with a bit of luck we could be playing finals as soon as next year.

Could be this year.

When I say it 'could be this year', I actually say that not in hope as such, but really just as an observation.


Adelaide, Freo, Carlton and Sydney are all not only winnable, but are 'should wins' really. We're having a dip, scoring well, getting some players back and are riding a bit of a wave of enthusiasm.

So winning all 4 is not an outrageous suggestion at all.

If we were to win all 4, the way the ladder and the draw sits currently, it would pretty much fall into place and we'd finish 7th or 8th.



Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if we lost this week and it's all about 2020 again.
