A good interview with Ratts after Fridays intraclub. Interesting at the end he mentions Allison as a player of the future, our recruiters look to have found another good late pick up. He also wasnt singing of Carlisle's form so dont be surprised if he gets a wake up early on.

Re: Ratten interview
Thanks for that impatient
Well and truly worth the 35 minute Liston - much more informative than the little 4 minute articles
Great insight into every thing about the saints players and team
Answers most questions that are raised on this site
ANd as for ratts - this 4th gen supporter becomes increasingly confidence/impressed with him and what he is leading

Re: Ratten interview
Hmmm....Carlisle might be sitting behind Frawley and Highmore at this point. Finally Bytel gets a decent pre-season in, but interestingly wasn't picked in the A team for the intra-club. He'll be fighting Crouch, Ross, and Dunstan for a position in the team, so maybe injuries to other mids will be the only pathway for him this season. Sounds like Higgins has been earmarked for some midfield time. When you look at the middle of last season we had Gresham and Hannebery out, and we had Clark at half back, yet were winning games and playing good football. Now there' the possible combination of Crouch, Higgins, Clark, Steele, Hannebery, Jones, Ross, Billings, Hill, Gresham, and Sinclair. That's 11 players and 13 if you include Dunstan and Bytel.
Let's compare 2009 to 2021
2009 v 2021
Hayes..........Steele
Ball............ Gresham
Montagna..... Hill
Dal Santo..... Clark
Goddard...... Billings
Baker.......... Ross
Armitage..... Crouch
C.Jones....... Hannebery
Schneider..... Higgins
Ray............. Sinclair
Steven......... Z.Jones
McQualter..... Dunstan
Eddy............ Bytel
How do we compare? It's interesting, and should give us some confidence.

Re: Ratten interview
five AAs to two. one of whom is far past that kind of form.
based on 2009 form vs 2020 form i can only see two winners for the current team - crouch and jones.
but after the first five stars the difference isn't a vast gulf. really shows how much we need gresham, clark, and billings to take another step.
