It's almost comical at this point!

Re: Geary and Hannebery
Dan injured his "good" calf and geary delayer for another six week. I have writen them both of forever to be honest. Hannebury will not hit his trigger clause to play next year and Geary will be "available" at the end of May but last year he wasn't exactly in out best 22 week in week out. Id be pumping games into guys like Bytel rather than Geary especially if our season is done and dusted by the end of May

Re: Geary and Hannebery
Is it the end of this year the contract trigger clause comes in? If so there is no way that could have been met.
Off the books and use money much mopre wisely next time.

dont think it will happen - if it comes down to legal matters then I see a contract adjustment coming up

Re: Geary and Hannebery
6 weeks and 4 weeks respectively.
Might get Hannebury back if we make finals. Doubt Geary will play again except for a farewell game which he deserves.
Your friendly neighbourhood samurai.

Re: Geary and Hannebery
I think I predicted in the pre season we were top 4 material provided we had luck with injury. I'm now revising my prediction to bottom 4. I'm one more pathetic loss like the weekend away from turning my hopes to a good position in the draft and possibly thinking we may need to go into a rebuild phase if the bad losses continue. Ironically it is sought of comforting.

The Saints are nearly always rebuilding.Vortex wrote: ↑Thu 08 Apr 2021 6:26pm I think I predicted in the pre season we were top 4 material provided we had luck with injury. They draft or trade for certain types of players, the game then evolves and suddenly we have a swiss cheese type list so we rebuild again.
It's a f**k*ng revolving, or revolting, door.
Let's hope we beat The Eagles.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Geary and Hannebery
I remember the good old days when I was just worried he wasn't physically capable of playing AFL football now we're at the stage where it's doubtful he's even physically capable of training at AFL level.
Don't worry though folks I guess.... it's a break for him and a blessing in disguise? He'll be a pinch hitter come finals? His attitude during another injury break will inspire the team?

This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf--
And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.

Re: Geary and Hannebery
Geary has been a warrior & a very loyal servant of the St.Kilda Football Club I can't say the same for Dan but IMO even if they do have opportunity to play again this season I hope they both opt out of playing in season 2022
