Saints sponsors

Post: # 1922525Post samuraisaint »

I heard on the ABC that seek.com made a huge profit.
I thought they were one of our sponsors, but couldn't find it on the club website. Is this the case?

I saw on the ABC they made a huge profit - I think the figure was quoted as being something like $752 million dollars!

Who knows why the Bassat brothers, lifelong Saints supporters, are not prepared to let Seek be an official club sponsor, however I expect they have done plenty over many years to put time and money into the club.

Gerry Ryan who owns Jayco Caravans has lent his company name to the club and is one of many business leaders supporting St Kilda.

On this subject I had not noticed the club's initiatives in connecting with the business community - the following link was quite a revelation for me and very commendable:

possibly a conflict of interest issue (sponsor holding a position on the board) or a governance issue with the Seek board and who/what they're allowed to sponsor. Pretty sure Jayco wasn't a sponsor when Gerry was on the board, only before or after.
