Gotta luv the Blues

Just when they started Crowing. Adds some added spice to these final rounds - they are looking like Norman on the front nine of the Masters.

And with that loss they could possibly miss the 8

With Bris, Melb and Coll to come they may be stuck on 12 wins

And it seems you will need 13 to make 8

So it gives us another chance, if Carl lose all 3 and we lose 1 we can still make it

Carl remind me of St K in 2020 when we only needed that 1 win to be sure

Would be so sad if Carlton missed

Carlton NEED to lose all 3 - probable - Bris/Melb will be difficult and then Collingwood could be playing for a top 2 on the last week - but in any case Coll/Carl always throws a hard game

We NEED 2 from 3 to make it - unfortunately I only see us pinching one and finishing 10th (however also a possibility that is is 11th)

I would love to see us bring the fire on Saturday and beat Geelong in a season re-firing stirring victory!

Squiggle has us 9th 9.3% behind the Dogs

Unfortunately we need to win 2 games and if we average Scores against of 75 (our average this year) we need to a total margin differential of over 100 point to get to 110%
So if we lose against Geelong we need to add that losing margin to the 100 and win by that much against the next two opponents - remember Sydney games are traditionally low scoring slog fests.

Percentage and games sold to Cairns will again cost us.

I started watching the Cat v WB but switched to Crows for the second half

Was a great fighting win , I thought Cripps head might explode in the final quarter

Why they had Fort as sub is beyond ridiculous

It’s not as if they are short big men, and Richmond just outran them in the end

So conflicted when Robinson had the chance to win the game and choked. Tough guy alright.
And the Tiger fwds, is there a bigger group of dislikable poseurs in any side.
Shame they couldn't have both lost.

Given the games left for Dogs and Tigers we may need THREE wins to make it.

Given whom they both play, they both could well win all their remaining games.

So Blues could drop out, along with us and they both get in.

If the Blues win one game, and us two, then their % will most likely stay above ours and so they will finish above us in this scenario.

Did anyone feel for Newnes in the last 3 minutes tonight? Dropped a relieving mark and despite being all over the Melbourne small forward in the final scoring play still had the winning goal kicked on him.
I did, a little bit.

Nup
But I laughed at the Blues
If I’m in pain why shouldn’t they be?? Lol
That aside did anyone see how they deliver the ball to Curnow and McKay??? Out in front ….seldom dumped on their heads repeatedly like we do to King
They’ll still pass us

Curnow n McKay are funny, they can take strong marks (helped by better delivery than ours) but they can miss easy shots.
Like our kid (he's never gonna be the GOAT, despite what Paddy said in a social media pic)

I really felt for Newnes, he was one of my favourites, until a sad head clash with a Swan while going for a ground ball.
He was never the same after that.
The Swan seemed to be ok, but Jack- I think he sat out the match?
It might've been 2017, I can't recall

Is Michael Voss negligent for not getting Matthew Lloyd in to help Curnow? It could have meant a win to the Blues tonight if Curnow had some outside help!

Are the Carlton footy department so insecure that they will refuse to let outsiders come in and work with Curnow and McKay before the finals start?

Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

I reckon McKay is a good indicator of what Max will do.

Max has more potential, but will fill out to be about McKays size

Found it, his 100th match. He showed courage to go low, both went low, he was just unlucky.

I never feel any sympathy for anyone in a Carlton jumper. F*** ‘em. Plenty of schadenfreude last night watching their sad little faces.

Whether you like Carlton or not, the disappointing fact is they have also well and truly surpassed our club. Their list is better, they are closer to having a crack at the top 4 than what St Kilda are and they don't have a dud like Lethlean sending their club backwards with idiotic decisions.

Carlton have money and history that attracts players we cant get. They make stuff ups I'm sure but can pay for them.

All the more reason why our club's administration decisions were and are even more critical.

Richmond got their CEO appointment with Brendon Gale perfect at a time their club was in a desperate position for both on-field and off-field success. A former player that bled and cared deeply for the club and with sound academic qualifications.

You gotta love watching Carlton suffer, Voss better watch his back, they turn on their coaches very quickly at Princes Park.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
