Mother Son Rule

It might’ve been on here before but is it right that an AFLW player could have a gun of a son and he becomes eligible under the Mother-Son rule in the future? Yes, I know I sound desperate, looking for anything, any little leg up, any little advantage, any bit of luck...... it's because I'm now officially desperate ! We've had no luck with the father-son maybe one of our current AFLW players could give our future generations something to smile about. If it helps this club become great then bring it on. The pessimistic long term supporter inside of me says .... they'll change the rules.

If it is anything like the current father son rule, 100 games is quite a feat in the AFLW, seeing their season is much shorter. Only a handful of players have made 50 games so far.
The current father daughter rule is 1 game. Saints nabbed a player Caitlin Mathews after her father played 1 game for the mens side.

Good point. Due to their season being shorter they should reduce the amount of games to be eligible. I'm sure if there was a Mrs Daicos or Mrs Silvagni the rules would change.

I’m not sold on Boston Everett.
Similar size & player to Andreas unless he has a huge growth spurt.

Haven’t seen much of Elwood so no comment.

Rooey’s boys should be huge, their mum has to be 5.11 to 6.0ft.

Hunter Hayes turning 9 in December, Jacob is 6 & no.3 due next month..Reiwoldt’s & Dal Santo boys not sure.
I think Joey Montagna has a couple of kids also!
You’re right about Kath Reiwoldt, she’s about 6 foot.
I’ve heard Leowe & Peckett have 9 boys between them!!

No doubt once Rooy's boy's are eligible for father son selection the AFL will change the rules

LOL - just when we get some absolute crackers coming through as Father/Mother-Son rules the AFL will adjust the rules so you cannot match if they are taken in the top 100!
