Riewoldt or Harvey??

Post: # 486144Post |Andy| »

Hey guys. i got an unnamed geurnsey which i bought, obviously from the sale, for 30 bucks woot :D. but like, i dunno who's name i should put in it??

I like harvey and riewoldt, but cant decide from either one.

And the only personal attributes towwards one of them is that Harvey debuted in 1991, ( i think, correct if wrong) which is the yr i was born. so i guess he has an edge, but i really dont know who to put on?

help guys?

Harvey debuted in 89 I think, not positive though..
As for the name I would have to say Harvey just because he is the great man, best player ever...

ROBERT HARVEY A.K.A The Great Man, Banger, Harves, Ol' Man River...

i think Harvey came to the club in 88 and debuted in 89

i know he's the last player still playing from the 80's

Harvey debuted in R20 1988. There are players in this year's draft born in 1990!

Debuted in 1988 Rd 19 v Footscray.

It was really easy to find out too, if you ask nicely I'll tell you my secret.

It'll blow your freaking mind, man.

Another interesting Wikipedia fact about Rob Harvey is that he is the only remaining player from the VFL days still playing in the AFL.

Yeah i was faced with this predicament a while ago. I bought an Eagles jumper, yes i know, but it was the WA State of Origin jumper so its alright since I live there.

Was going to get number 18 in honour of the greatest West Coast player, Rowan Jones. Unfortunately he retired before I could do it and so I decided I didnt want any other Eagles players numbers.

PS: I was only doing this as a joke as every Eagles fan despises Rojo. My friend call him the worst player ever to play for the Eagles :P

Personally I would go with Harvey just because, he is Harvey. No other reason could ever do him justice!

You should probably go with Harvey. If you can get it signed, all the better.

You'd get called a bandwagoner for not knowing the players...

Why don't you go with one of the younger or new players?

Harvs and Roo are fantastic and legends of our club, but there are so many with thier numbers already.

I chose a young gun in Gram back when he came to the club, now I look like a genius, and can say "I knew he'd be a star".

Of course its up to you, but the look on a younger or less praised players face when someone walks up to them with his number on thier back is special.

Yeah that's a pretty good point, but which youngsters do we have that are certain to make it?, there's Gilbert but I'm pretty sure he's got enough as it is. I reckon Leigh Fisher might be not too bad a choice, he might not be the best player going around but he is rarely beaten and gives his best every week.

You chose Gram because you love his buns. That has nothing to do with intelligence

I rated Gram before he started to star. Playing ability that is.

Liked his style.

Still has a bit to go. ie. toughness around contests.

You should get a dead set gun on the back of your jumper...... put Fiora on it. Also, that way you will be happy in the knowledge that you are the only person in the world with him on your jumper.
