Casey this week !!

Post: # 530106Post Eastern »

I think Casey are playing Frankston in a praccy match at Moorabbin on Friday Night (don't know what time). Does anyone know who & how many of our listed players have sought permission to play and who & how many have been granted permission to play.

I would think that BJ & Goose would be on the list. Any others? !!

I would guess that Dempster would be about ready to play???

I think that they originally said that he would be out for about 3 weeks.

Ill be there.

Have a mate playing for Franga this season after 3 injury riddled years on the carltoon list. Will also be good to (hopefully) see Ilzy get a run out!

... not to mention BJ, Goose, Dempster, and maybe a cameo from Fraser / Max?

great to hear another game at Moorabbin, makes up for family day at Frangga rather than our current home I guess.

Please be advised that due to the unexpected
circumstances surrounding the Frankston
grandstand disaster, the practice match that
was to be scheduled for Saturday the 15th of
March at Frankston Oval, will now be played
on Friday the 14th at Moorabbin Oval.

Seniors 6PM, Reserves 8.15PM?

Reserves will be a test of some sort, considering the lighting at Linen House Oval.

I think the lights there are actually quite good, correct me if i'm wrong but they were updated when baseball was played out of moorabbin and have remained ever since. Casey's new lights are 250 lux and from memory Moorabbins are stronger than that!

either way the reserves will probably start immediately after the seniors.
The seniors may be playing only 4 x 25 minute quarters again, rather than 20 + time on.

Both the Scorps & Frankston websites say that the seniors commence at 6pm.

However, for the reserves, the Scorps website says 8:15pm and the Frankston website says 8:30pm. I wonder if the Frankston team will be fined for being out of the rooms late.

I heard that Luke Ball is expected to line up for Casey, as well as Goose and Fisher, Gwilt etc.

Ball suprises me but it's fantastic news, usually when coming back from surgery etc. during pre-season you are managed and would rarely step down to Casey ubnless you missed a couple of weeks, the fact that Ball is playing hopefully means that he is 'flying' and can't get enough footy at the moment.

He will still be 6 classes above a VFL praccy game, however...

I might actually go down and watch the match. Im friends and went to high school with one of casey's new recruits, and am mate's with another who I go to uni with, so I have a bit more interest in casey this year, as opposed to the saints players playing for casey. Whats the address for Moorabbin? Linton right?
