Crowd numbers-
I was surprised that there were only around 36,500 at thte game last night
Looked like more to me - were there huge gaps anyone could see.

I thought there were more than 40,000 last night and was surprised at the official figure. There were definetely more than double that attended the richmond Nab cup game of "23,000".
Although i think previous attendance figures had been artificailly raised for whatever reason. Earlier in the dayCollingwood fans could have sworn there were more than 45,000 for their game, maybe the afl have a changed agenda, tax?

With the problems people were having with online membership renewal, I am not surprised.
I had issues because I didn't renew my membership properly. I called the club about 5 times and I thought it was sorted out.
Last night my membership wouldn't scan. They let me through but I obviously wasn't recorded in that number.
I suspect there were others like me.

Dome Numbers Down Permanently
Crowd numbers will be less at Telsta Dome this year.
Not content with leaving most of the seats on western side of level 2 empty in the the Medallion club, they have tampered with Access One seating on the western side of level 2.
They have created Access One Premium - it like a poor company's version of Medallion Club.
It only costs $2880 a year after a $500 nomination fee.
Company owners can abuse their company to purchase a permanent reserved seat in the Access One area. Of course the "seat owners" only come when their team is playing.
The front rows of seating accessed by aisles 35/36/37 & 40/41/42 and 43/45 are involved.
I used my MCC membership and the Access One reciprocal arrangement to get a seat on level 2 between aisles 41 & 42.
I was right at the back.
Every seat there was taken but the front 8 or so rows were at best a quarter full.
The AFL does not care about football supporters.
Demetriou will not be happy until all us scum earning less than $1 million a year are forced to watch on TV and he only has to mix with corporate executives.
The stadium's will be near empty but the revenue will be fantastic.

Seems like I will be moving my seat forward sometime late in the first quarter from now on.
If the seat owner shows up late I will only have to move a few seats along to find an empty. It should not be hard to find a seat whose owner does not come to St Kilda games.

Ace, what is the reciprical arrangement with the MCC? I might use it, with all that luxurious space going begging.
Agree with your analysis of TD's constantly warped priorities.
