Any news on Harvey's injury?

Post: # 547303Post markinUSA »

Hi

I was wondering if the injury to Robert Harvey's left leg/thigh has been discussed in the Melbourne media? Is he ok? Will he be fit for next week?

Cheers
Mark

I think it must have just been a corked thigh or knee, didnt look that bad after he was hobiling, My guess a corked knee.

one of those football shows this morning, I think the Sunday footy show.
Said it was a corked thigh caused by Kosi.

but he wasnt listed on the docs injury list so I assume he's fine

Haha, did anyone else see after they'd put the padding on it? Harves was running around in the forward/back pocket area & just ripped all the tape off & left it behind as he got back into the game.

HARVEY (ST K) Thigh. Copped a heavy knock early in the game from teammate Justin Koschitzke. Reports suggest he’ll miss this week’s game against the Bombers.

I think it is a severe corky.

In any case probably not a bad ide to let Harvey miss a couple of games during the year to keep him fresh.

Although a pity it could actually be a good thing. Harves needs to be treated more carefully and needs to be rested at times just to make sure that he can last the entire season! I really think it is deplorable that we still rely on Harvey to do a large bulk of the running, he has worked hard enough in this team and i for one believe that it is time that the younger brigade step up and prove to him that they are worth every bit of blood sweat and tears that he has given!
Gives our top ten draft pick from last year the chance to prove himself, hell McQualter seemed to have had a good game so perhaps he could be in line for a call up....we did redraft him afterall!

Minnie is a Rookie and we have no LTI's...so he cannot be elevated at present.

Also one good performance should not rate a call up.

Yeah Harvey is out this week according to most sources, probably a good thing because he needs a week off every now and then, especially against the pacey bombers...

M.Gardiner is also out this week so my changes for this week would be

Armitage in for Harvey
Geary in for Dempster
C.Gardiner in for Blake and
Schneider in for Fiora

ROBERT HARVEY A.K.A The Great Man, Banger, Harves, Ol' Man River...
384 games, 4 B&F's, 3 EJ Whitten Medals, St.Kilda Captain, 2 Time Brownlow Medalist, 8 Time All Australian, 2nd Highest Brownlow votes poller.... The greatest of ALL TIME!!

How many poor individual performances should be allowed before players are dropped?

Thanks fingers..

But oh crap!!!!

St Kilda's biggest fitness worry from Saturday's game is Adam Schneider, who was a late withdrawal after suffering a hamstring injury at training.

Hammy = not good for only missing a game.
