Interesting to read the panic that has hit the pages here after 2 losses .

Chnages yes but keep it in perspective 3 bad quarters against the dogs , who are 4-0 and a respectable loss to Geelong 4-0 and reigning premiers.

Usual suspects -Fiora- was pretty good against Dogs and at least gives us run
Blake - May need to ruck or fill in down back if Fisher is out

I would be more concerned about guys like Gehrig, Gram etc. Veterans performing poorly.

Don't panic Geelong was 1-3 last year having just flogged Richmond. Long way to go

Blake is in trouble if Dempster can prove he can fill his spot in the side. At this stage I'd rather have Ferguson in the side up half forward.

Fiora will also be replaced with Armitage. Until he proves he knows where the goals are, his spot in the side is on thin ice.

The usual suspects are, in fact, the usual suspects for a reason. No, they're not the reason for our loss, but we are carrying them as passengers throughout the game.

Did anyone once think "Geez, we could have done with Raph Clarke right about now" against Geelong? How about next week if we are losing to Essendon, would you really think that someone like Fiora or Blake could make the difference? I don't believe so. You want blokes that can turn it on and actually make an impact rather than just being servicable, and if those players are fit and available, play them.

He has shown his ability of a 10 game player, but injuries have held him back from playing more and progressing.

By all reports and Scorpions form, he should be at least getting a look in to selection. Apparently he was among the top 3 players last week, along with Mini.

Last week Ferg was named as our BOG for the Scorps.
He played most of his football for us before Leigh Fisher had a game. Remember they were both taken in the same draft, Ferg the round before L.Fisher. Ferguson performed well for us at CHB filling in for injuries, although only 187cm he plays above that height. Good mark and pack m,ark apparently.

Cant actually remember Ferg standing out nearly as much as Leigh Fisher did when he debuted. Adter just 5-6 games Fish was considered best 22..and then was cut down by injury.

Yes Ferg's had his share too but my memory of him is a GOP. Played a good game v Adelaide in that final in 2005 but our whole squad played out of their skins that night

His games in Rounds 21/22 last year were ordinary at best. Flogged by Pettifer who nearly won the game for them single handed.

ratio dosent matter, it s irrelevant. Its the WAY WE ARE PLAYING, that has some, including me, very concerned. Game plan, whatever, call it what you will.

This defense at all costs dosent SUIT OUR PLAYERS.

Also, what is the point of that crap when the ball gets run out of our 50 easier than any other team in the comp? There is NO attack.

We play the majority of games in PERFECT conditions, and are amongst the lowest, if not the lowest scoring team in the competition.

why oh why do some people pin their hopes on blokes who cannont crack the starting 22 ? last year it was all Barry Brooks to be the messiah the year befor it was "we must play Rix" and now this year its Ferg yet the same people slam Blake Jones Fiora and Raph the mind boggles

He is the type of player we need forward of the ball, knows where to run and can take a mark. I don't think anyone is suggesting he is a "great white hope", but he fills a space we will need when we finally restructure away from this tall timber forward line. He and Charlie Gardiner could very well be extremely important in this nature.
