slow footy weekend
so went lookng for anything that may be new
found this- can anyone name the saints players?
11th June 1968 Problems of light.
With no flood lights available at the grounds there were complaints that the light levels were handicapping teams that ended up kicking to the "wrong" end of the ground. Lighting did not start becoming available at grounds till the mid 80s.
In this particular case St Kilda was coming to the on a winning streak which began in round 2 and finished with them beating Essendon in round 8 113 to 57. Essendon failed to score in the first quarter
