I've followed the Saints now for over 35 years and have now come to the conclusion that they are my 3 rd child. There are times when they give you great high's and other times you are disappointed in them. But like a child you always love them and you never give up on them.

Yeah, not a bad analogy!! Not bad at all. They frustrate the hell out of you often, absolutely delight you sometimes and at times you just want to get rid of them!! But you can't. You stick with them no matter what.

One day they will graduate into something we will all be proud of - and gives us tears of joys. But until that day comes - we have to put up with constant flunks, threats of expulsion and the strap.!!

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

I think St Kilda is more like a child who has had a number of parents come and go who are more interested in their own welfare than their child's...and the child runs wild.
What the St Kilda child needs is a loving parent who is firm and takes no nonsense and knows whats best for the future.
At the moment we have a child who is standing on the outer and not doing as they are told.

we had a"parent' like that a couple of seasons ago......and the club unceremoniously dumped him.....

speaking of children

I don't know how true it is, but the offspring of knights and the offspring of mal michael reputedly had a discussion about their respective fathers opinions of each other, which resulted in michael being dropped to the magoos.

one for the rumour file?

I love the analogy.

I have to admit to me the Saints are like a girlfriend (seeing as I have no kids) Gee they give me the s***s sometimes, take all my money and most of my time. But its always on my mind, I love it more than anything else and I would be lost without it.

When are they going to grow up, get a job, and move out of home (To the gold coast)?

When are they going to get married (merged)?
