Great choice in Eddy. Hard nut, looks like he could be a player.
Kudo's for these selections Ross.
(still wouldn't have dropped Dal though).

Does anyone know what we can expect in the long term with Eddy?
From the little I have seen of him he looks like a Nathan Foley type player, would love it if he could be as good![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Anyway talking about working hard, full credit to a great season and a half of hard work for the best runner at the club. Wont win a brownlow because his disposal is iffy but if can be a consistant hard worker then he will make himself an AFL player.
We are starting to create a better hard working midfield IMO, players who are willing to tackle and gut run, work for each other

Definitely not a Foley type. Eddy runs all day and racks up disposals, but doesn't do a whole lot with them. At very best we could get a Carazzo/Priddis type, at worst he could be a small Jason Blake.Armoooo wrote:Does anyone know what we can expect in the long term with Eddy?

So you would have him as an outside midfielder who collects cheap possies?mad saint guy wrote:Definitely not a Foley type. That is a huge let down, from what I've seen/heard/read he is a hardnut inside mid...
Disappointing...

He'll get a fair few uncontested possies from hard running, but that's not to say he won't be handy around the clearances either. But he's certainly not a line breaker who will burst through a pack and hit Roo on the chest.Armoooo wrote:So you would have him as an outside midfielder who collects cheap possies?

Given his running capacity I'd expect Lyon to primarily use him as a tagger.
