Gday Folks!!!!!! A GREAT night! I managed to get up to the MW and meet up with my pals for a pre-match chat (sorry to miss you Steve! :D )
Now I know that it was not a game for the purists, but by gum there was a heck of a lot to like about last night! Those youngsters lifted the spirits of the whole team, and the intensity and enthusiasm shown was great for all us barrackers, gave us something to cheer about! :D It did this old heart of mine good to see those boys fly the flag for "Bally"
It was so good to hear the crowd chanting SAINT KILDA CLAP CLAP CLAP! SAINT KILDA! CALP CLAP CLAP! when the Ball/Warnock incident took place (put me in mind of the occasion in 03 when Knoebel got cleaned up by Brisbane)
Those folks up on the MW and down on level one aisle 34/35? sounded good! We had a good old go down on level one ( aisle 18/19) and the old Jiggster had good support from the folks down there!
After the siren I managed to have a chat to Jack and Mrs. Barker (what a lovely couple!!) and all the kids were giving the old Jiggster highfives!!!

Pretty it wasn't, season "back on track"? who knows? All I know is that it was good to be one of the 22,000 last night!!!
GO SAINTS GO SAINTS GO SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love to all (I'm off to the Gold Coast this week!)

Dave

Yep, I'm with you Dave. The most satisfying win of the season. When I heard that Lenny was gawn I put us down for a loss. The courage that the team showed to snuff out the freo come back was phenomenal.

So what the quality of the football was poor. THis was one of those "line in the sand" games that come around rarely.

I felt really proud of the boys at the end. Probably the first time I can say that this year.

:D G'day Folks!!! I watched the replay of the game this morning, and it only confirms how gutsy and brave our boys were on Fridee!!!
I reckon the game against the Kangaroos will be a challenge and a half!
However I will be flying up to the Gold Coast on Friday morning with a wee bit more optimism now!!!!!
We have every chance of getting a win if we play with that intensity again!!
GO SAINTERS!!!!! I said:GGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
SAINTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great to hear Jack Barker is still well enough to attend.
Hopefully the win will lift his spirits.

Hi

I haven't seen the game yet... but I woke up happy knowing that we won! We won! We won!

I get sad all week... well, at least until Thursday, when we lose. So today was just terrific.

I am just happy we are back on the winner's list. Great to see!

Go Saints!

Looking forward to sitting down and quietly watching the game again this evening. You'd reckon we were 10 goals behind some of the carry-on I had to listen to Fri night
