Darryl Baldock
I was wondering if any Saints fans can help me with this one. I remember seeing old black and white film footage of the doc dodging and weaving against an opponent - he put the ball on the ground, did a dodge and the picked the ball up again and went on. I have looked at the stuff on you tube, but cannot find this one. Can anyone help?

i know the one you mean where he is paddling the ball along in front of him one-handed as though it were on a string.
i guess you found this one, which has footage of him but not the clip you are looking for.

In those days if you grabbed the guy when he did not have the ball in his hands the umpires awarded a free kick for holding the man.
Now a days the umpire will either deem the guy to be in possession and so free kick to the tackler for incorrect disposal or simply call play on with the guy slung to the ground.
Umpiring only gets worse the longer Anderson and Demetriou remain.
