Play of the day - Montagna!

Post: # 601718Post RedWhiteBlack »

Final term, Blues stuffing around with the ball in their backline, it bobbles on the ground about 40m out from goal and Montagna sprints to make a contest, slides HEAD FIRST into it, wins the ball, handballs out to a team mate which results in Milne's fifth goal. Super stuff from Joey. Showed real courage and committment, especially when you could argue the game was over at that stage.

Agree that was important, but for me the play of the day was

(Not sure which quarter)

King tap to Hayes, Hayes runs through the middle, drills pass lace out to Roo on the lead.

Roo slots the goal.

Awsome! Footy can be such a simple game!

Montagna was buggered before that contest. Wasn't going to go in until the Blues bloke got a crooked bounce.

I agree great stuff selfless team first, but it actually resulted in a goal to Armo.
