Fraser Gehrig back doing ball work
I don't know how long it's been since Fraser was doing ball work at training, but I just heard he's been playing kick to kick with Eljay over about 30-40 metres. Apparently he's taking the odd mark with one hand, but when he uses two he looks quite confident. Hopefully this is a good sign!

I have positive things to say and unlike some here never hardly ever have a go at players. Hope you have never had a go at players. The Saintsational Man wrote:Never has a positive thing to say.....plugger66 wrote:I think its a good sign that he will be able to kick with his kids when he is older.
Ever.
By the way just pointing out he will not be back with a little humour. Have you heard of that word.

Most of my posts come with humour.plugger66 wrote:I have positive things to say and unlike some here never hardly ever have a go at players. Most of yours don't give the saintsational community much.
No need to get angry.
It's just the truth.

The problem with your hypothetical is that sides that make the finals don't have weak back lines...respect what the G has given this club but the chances of him returning are very, very slim.jonesy wrote:Question
Hypothetically,we're in the 8,coming to the first week of the finals. The G-Train is training the house down,we come up against a side that has a weak backline.
Do we play him?
I would
Never take a backward step even to gain momentum.....

That's why it will work a treat.gooner wrote:Have I woken up in 1985?jonesy wrote:What about if we send him in as a pinch hitter(king hitter). We send the train out on angry pills.....roughen up(wipe out) a few opposition key players?
I say yes
All these fairy floss metro's won't be expecting it. Good old bloody Fraser will come out throwing haymakers, sending the opposition into shock. It will be good old fashioned back to the 80's brutality. For good measure I say we bring in the man mountain Rix,send him on a hurtin mission. Between the two of them they could take out 5 or 6 before the opposition knew what hit them, literally.
We wouldn't be popular, but winning finals isn't about popularity!

Dam straight its a good sign
agree with ya Jonesy, theres always a few teams in the comp failing in their backline and it would be worth unleashing the train on the occasion of opposing them.
sounds like ur wanting G to play his last game one grand time and bring the stadium down...anyway
also agree with the final winning popularity, which dissapoints me
the saints are not remembered by any opposing clubs, apart from Port and Sydney to remain one game away from sharing the spotlight of hollywood-fame over Australia for entering their way into the AFL Grand Final..twice we had the chance..but who remembers the unfortunate two contestants in the Preliminary Final? the saints did play the pre-premiership team both years 04 05 in the Preliminary

If we look like missing out, give him a farewell match.
Otherwise, the next time I want to see him on the ground is doing laps in the back of a convertible and waving to the fans.
Great champion, but time's up... sadly

The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.
