Fiora, and Schneider at the moment. Gotta give Gardi another go, it was his first game back in 5 weeks.

No Scorpions this weekend. Geary had 40 possessions last game, has been our best for the last 2 weeks, and should have played today before Fiora and Schneider. Birss has been amongst our best for the last 2 games as well. I would bring both of them in and Kosi, leaving out Max, Schneider and Fiora. Maybe Jummy Gwilt can come back in to help replace Max.

Ins From: Koschitzke, Birss, Geary, Gardiner, Allen, Gwilt, Ferguson, Steven.
Outs From: Max, Gardiner, Armitage, Fiora, Schneider.

* Fiora to make way for someone who can kick goals. (Birss, Allen, C Gardiner, Ferguson)

* M Gardiner and Armitage to make way for those who can get more than 6 touches in a game. (Koschitzke, Geary)

* Also need to bring in those who can kick goals and give us a forward structure slightly more effective than "Kick it to Roo": Kosi, Gardiner, Birss, Allen.

* Someone to bolster the defense in place of Max: (Gwilt, Ferguson, Miles if fit.)

* Could also be an opportunity to bring Jack Steven in for his first AFL game, in place of the disappointing Schneider.

Gwilt, your not serious?
we are in trouble. Best we start tanking and get some depth 14-39 on list struggling

I'm serious about Gwilt. Don't be surprised if he's selected.

Either the match ups were wrong... but I have to admit that it's all over for Fiora. Lucky his opponent didn't kick straight.

Kosi back in. Amazing what the lack of a 2nd forward does to your team balance. Having him yesterday would have allowed Roo to run up more instead of being in the square.

MG had a dog day, but should stay as 2nd ruck.

If Rix gets a game, it's all over for me this year.

Geary and Rix... why is everyone so hung up on Scorps preformances?

Rix does well at VFL and is a dud in AFL. Geary still hasn;t done enough in the seniors.

C gardiner would have been a better option in the goal square yesterday.

Birrs for Fiora, and Kosi in. We will need another defender and it won't suprise to see Gwilt back.

The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.

Geez the cupboard looks pretty bare for replacing Max - he's the glue down there. I reckon Armo's needs a rest - he is just not getting enough of the pill at the moment (not that he racked up huge stats in any game yet) - & YES I accept that he will become a good player but isn't producing yet. His replacement Birss or Geary ( I hope Ross gives Geary a bit more of a free rein this time)

Fiora perhaps - but if left in for goodness sake please please don't play him in the backline. Schneider must have run out of chances surely and about time he went and had a game at Casey??

Gardi - Kosi - A given.

I reckon plaing the 2 of King and MG makes us far less flexible as one of them must always be off the ground. we have 2 other back up ruckman in Kosi and Blake so I think the hard decision should be made and MG shouldnt play. Also gives the bench more rotations.

Agree on MG, only one of him or King can play.
I would bring in Allen and Birss and dump, which means

In Kosi, Allen, Birss
Out Max, Gardiner, Schneider

Looking for a defensive forward to replace a loose forward in Schneider.

Allen provides a contest up forward, breaks open packs for our little men and is given development games in the 1's which (hopefully) fast tracks his development and just maybe, gives us the third tall option we need come finals time, especially when Kosi goes into the ruck and leaves Roo alone.

Speculative pick no doubt, but McEvoy is too much like Kosi and ferguson, the other option just can't kick for goal.

In: J.Koschitzke, S.Birss, J.Geary, B.McEvoy
Out: M.Gardiner, A.Fiora, A.Schneider, M.Hudghton

I don't believe we are going to go anywhere this year with Fiora, Schneider or Gardiner in our 22, I can see Birss, Geary and McEvoy being a part of our next premiership team.

FB: S.Fisher Blake Dempster
HB: Gram Gilbert Goddard
C: Montagna Dal Santo McQualter
HF: Jones Riewoldt Birss
FF: Milne Koschitzke Armitage
R: King Hayes Ball
I/C: McEvoy Harvey Eddy Geary

It is amazing what a diference one player can make, if Harvey wasn't around the team I would be hoping for would be

FB: Dempster Gilbert R.Clarke
HB: Goddard S.Fisher Geary
C: Gram Dal Santo Montagna
HF: Birss Riewoldt Jones
FF: Milne Koschitzke Steven
R: McEvoy Hayes Ball
I/C: Armitage Eddy Allen McQualter

we have to stop looking for "the future"and getting games into the young guys, i no its good, and if they play well enough to be selected.
then we pick them
but we need to pick players who have been playing well.
we cant pick players jsut because of their name.
or number they were drafted.

Agree but we do need to play a forward in the forward line, who else do you suggest?

Allen needs to play for 2008 and our chances this year, it just so happens his development will be accelerated as well....

If Gehrig becomes match fit, would be more than happy for him to be the one, just don't expect it....
