"Schit or bust" time! After all, everyone's said we're gonna lose why not just roll the dice and send another message to those players who've ensconsed themselves nicely into a "comfort zone"?
We have nothing to lose by giving someone else a go!!!!

Ins Birss, Maybe X if fit enough and even though I didnt think he would play I think Steven may be given a chance. If not him Armo will play again.

if the skills from Saturday aren't going to improve then Gehrig will just be a liability

Depends on who is available. My guess is they will go with the same team team unless X is fit. We need more pace, especially at Subi, and Armitage sure isn't going to provide it. After his last game there, another one like it would end his career. Maybe they should play him.

Birss should have played last week along with R Clarke. C Gardiner may be worth a go, probably his last chance. You never know, McManus might get another game and pick him up.

Essentially with the inclusion of Gehrig, the saints midfield would improve their skills immensly as they will now have an imposing target to kick to.

On too many occasions on Saturday night, Kosi was more often than not playing up the ground and Riewoldt was left in the forward 50 as the lone tall and subsequently Riewoldt plays his best footy at centre half forward as a lead up forward.

The addition of Gehrig would mean the Saints would no longer have to play kick to kick to spot up precise targets, now when streaming through the middle will be able to kick it long to the impsoing Fraser Gehrig. With at times Gehrig and Kosi playing in the square and Riewoldt as a lead up forward, the saints midfielders will have numerous options and can afford to back their forwards and kick long. Unlike Saturday night, having to be 100% precise with there skills spotting up 20 metre targets and when missing them being made to pay.

Just throwing up a though,Although he did bugger all last time, our form slump has corresponded with Allen being dropped, inside 50 tall forward need a tall back to man him.Clutching at straws I know, but you have to look at ALL options, and lets face it our forward setup just isnt working

in the report of the Casey game Jack Steven was named 2nd best
Someone wrote he was very good another...
Steven played his best game of the year I dare say. His pace was a real factor around the clearances.

Subi is where you need runners with pace so I would bring him in for Fiora

Armo & Birss would have to be in line for Geary and Eddys spots too

Absolutely no way can we drop King !
Around the ground he doesn't offer much but Mcevoy got creamed by Sandilands in the ruck last time out at the dome. Kosi will get murdered as well.

Michael Gardiner won't play so King MUST play.

No way can we drop Dal either.
We can't chuck the baby out with the bathwater.
If we lose this then say goodbye to a last finals appearance for Robert Harvey.
We're already carrying too many sub par players

No time for risks.
Lay down the law to the players pre game that this performance will judge them season's end and roll with our best cards.

Give the proven players a chance and if we fail we'll be better off at season's end to make the right decisions re list management.

I think it' more about playing players in the right positions. Why did Gwilt play down back? Especially after impressing in the Port game. He's solid gold up front at the moment cause at least he can kick the ball straight!

I know I'm gonna get lynched for this but I thought Hayes was quiet on Sat night.

Allen should play if sit, so should C. Gardiner as we need marking options up forward. Bring in X and Stevens to provide some pace around the packs. Dockers have a lot of tall running backs who need tobe shut down. Stop their run and they are rooted.

I must say the pre-match function is going to be interesting, I hope it's not like a wake. And please peoples, ask Westaway some tough questions as this is not a love in; if he doesn't have a stategy to handling recruitment and football operations then maybe someone else out there does!

Sorry but Geary must go back to the twos
SO two changes this week, unless Kosi really does have a problem, then three.
Birss must come in...

I agree Trav. I liked the look of Charlie during the NAB Cup, but he's been all but useless since. But a leading forward is needed...in fact, it was needed last weekend.

I also agree I don't think there's any reason for wholesale changes...Fizz is out, so that leaves room for Birss, Armo or X (whichever one can push forward, or displace someone who can go forward, like BJ). The rest of 'em should run out onto the ground as a team, knowing they stuffed it royal last weekend, and bloody do something about getting what's left of the season back on track!

wouldnt that be special???

however already jack steven has the added pressure of being somewhat mentioned in the same sentence as harvey, and for him and us is not a good thing

one bad game and he is s*** like the rest of anyone that is currently representing or has represented us
