Everyone's entiled to an opinion, but I disagree with that article.
Start strong, stay Strong, Harass, Tackle, man up and zone up properly and don't give them easy kicks.
We can beat Gellong. Yes; We have to play at our best and hardest, but we certainly can win. 2 weeks to get over the bruises should put any thouhts of going soft out of their minds.
If it bleeds, we can kill it.

That's what the week's break is for!! So, shouldn't be a problem.matrixcutter wrote:im just worried that when we win ....we've just played our GF game and its sucked the physical side out of us and we are too sore.
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Reasonable assessment based on Geelong's year and our year.
One thing not recognised though is our ability to step it up as the game goes on eg North Melbourne, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide games.
I think we can match them there.
Matching them in the middle is the key and I understand why there are doubts - especially without Luke Ball.

That's true over the course of the season... but we have been on the improve for some months (a few blips aside) whereas Geelong started the season playing great football, are still playing great football and therefore have stagnated.Reasonable assessment based on Geelong's year and our year.
We can beat them.

Year long form says Geelong are odds on......BUT each game is a one off.
On our day given the momentum we can win.
Geelong can and have been beaten .
Some early goals and tight defence hold them in the first half ...then in the third quick ball movement and some accurate passing to the Hf anything is possible.
Kosi and Nick Riewolt combined with Schneider Gram and who knows......

So what? Are we that precious? Let's face it, Geelong have had an incredible year.
I am happy for everyone to write us off TBH. Gives Geelong nothing but the added pressure of expectations.
I'm as one-eyed as the next supporter, but on form alone, they are miles ahead. so why would you expect anything different from the media?
IMHO, this game will go a long way to determine who are genuine palers for our club... and who are the front runners.
There's quite a few reputations at stake this week...
Kosi
Milne
Dal
Gram
Joey
If these guys can match the output of Roo, Banger, Lenny and BJ, and deliver in a crunch game... we'll come very close to winning.
the rest like CJ, Eddy, Raph and Gwilt are still young "development wise" so I'm only expecting them to do their job. Anything else is a bonus.

The lid is off after Round 2! Enjoy the journey, coz you just don't know where we'll end up. Live for today and seize the moment.

True.
We have absolutely nothing to lose.
At all. If we have a genuine crack, then so be it. We regroup and have another go next week.
There is no fate. Create your own destiny...blah blah...We have an opportunity here. We should try to take it.
I like what is said above, about making some reputations.
Now is the time.
