Look, I know he's out for the season, and I know he showed just about nothing before he got injured, and seems to be one of those strange stick insect-like players who a puff of wind could blow away and who rarely seem to make it at AFL level.

But I've always wanted to start a threat with a player's name and exclamation marks.

So there you go.

I like the story his Mum told why she called kim Eljay (LJ). With a heart warming bioraphy about the origin of his name he is bound to be a super star!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I recall it at the time she had Eljay a very favourite unkle of kis died. The uncles initials were LJ. So in memory of the guy she used his intials to name our own. I am sure I read this some where....

Thanks. I've never thought much about why players have ended up with particular given names

Like, why did Bateman's mum christen him "Chance"?

On second thoughts, let's not go there.......
