I'm amazed Channel 10 didn't go with Stuart Little 2 as well up here to push the broadcast back..

Matilda last week & bloody Stuart Little this week! Thankfully I'm going down for the game.

For those with HD I noticed last week that they had "Before the Game" on prior to the delayed coverage.

My family friend is going to Maroochydore today and was checking the TV Guide for the game. Its live @ 7.00 for the Sunshine Coast, yet 8.30 start into Brisbane

May aswell make the 40 min drive up the coast, find a nice pub and watch the game there. Not sure if it was live into the Gold Coast...

I just checked the local free newspaper tv guide and the Sunday Mail TV Guide both have 7.00pm as the starting time for the game here in Queensland, so maybe the AFL site is incorrect.

Watching the Adverts for the game last nite on CH10 - you wouldnt know we were playing. Its only Effing buddy. No mention of our all australians, 2 time brownlow medalist. Nothing.
Expecting the Ch10 Commentary will be just as biased.

Spoke to a "Rob" at Channel 10 who had no logical explanation for this, and suggested that rather than email, write a letter to:

The General Manager
Channel 10
GPO Box 751
BRISBANE 4001

to express our dismay and request representations be made to the broadcast scheduling people in Sydney to have the telecast brought forward.

I'm doing so right now and suggest others do likewise. You never know, it may work......

southern end of queensland (ie brisbane and gold coast)
gets access to 2 different channels :
Southern Cross 10
and Channel 10
(one is a nsw based channel 10, the other is Queensland based ch 10)

surely it is on 1 of em ?

alway's worked well when i lived there... i could watch 2 channel 7's (with different AFL games) , 2 channel 9's with different NRL games on each
and 2 AFL Games on SC 10 and 10) . no need for foxtel/austar

if not isnt Mainj even Ch 518 on Fox/austar showing it live like every other normal fri night game or games without Bris/Syd ?

Nope....Evidently the rights agreement states "if a game is shown live (or near live ie within 2 hours of start time) on FTA then Foxtel is not allowed to show the game live or even commence replay until delayed broadcast is finished!

Can not receive the NSW based channels in Brisbane.

Can get them on the GC though.

i was watching the friday night games live on ch 518 on the goldy at 7:00pm

then gettinmg a chance to watch the 7 game on at 8:30 or in some cases 1130pm delayed.
does all the rules get thrown out the window for finals time. . . .

Well as most know the site has been updated. It would seem we get it live on the GC but not in Brisbane which as an absolute disgrace. I really suggest everyone contact the stations and just drive them nuts. Are they really sure they want another team up here when they can't support a game like this

Last week the feed didn't work properly. So it was ok watching it live (thank god) but when we went to watch the replay it wouldn't work. Why is it so hard to get right.

Yep everything is fine & dandy during the H&A when there are multiple games every weekend. Come finals time they roll out the barrel bend you over it & .............!!!

and they wonder why ppl turn away from the afl in droves.

at least the NRL and Channel 9 can be commended for showing the Melb vs Warriors game live into Melbourne last sunday.
was great i could see it as i was working..... but the result was a shock

although i still hate the fact that the Nine and Foxtel determine when and where and how each round of NRL is scheduled only 1 week in advance... lets be thankful AFL hasnt gone down that path . . . . . yet.

Feel for the queenslander's up north. . . .
moved back to melb from the goldy after 5 years . . . . . work commitments.

would have been jetting down each week if i had to put up with this TV coverage rubbish.
